I have oily/combination skin in hot/humid Texas
I cleanse my face, use moisturizer, eye cream and let that settle into my face for minimum an hour before putting this primer on and then wait 10 minutes before I put my foundation on. I have tried so many primers..and so many foundations.. all say they have staying power (wont crease or get cakey)...

Good for setting makeup
The Forever Velvet Veil goes on smoothly and definitely helps my makeup stay set all day. The only thing I don't like is that the formula changes the hue of my skintone on my face. Ghost like
I tried this three times before i returned it using different skin prep techniques and unfortunately its not brown skin friendly at ALL. I am a shade or two darker than the darker skinned woman in the ad however it made me look like a ghost. Awful.
Love the Forever Matte Foundation, But The Primer Needs Work
This primer did not keep my oil at bay, even though I was using it with the Dior Forever Matte foundation (which I love). I also didn't like that the primer has a tint to it. It did not agree with my skin tone, and made my foundation look different.

I have tried so many primers..and so many foundations.. all say they have staying power (wont crease or get cakey) this one is the only primer I like a lot. One pump goes a Loooong way. My foundation (Estée Lauder) is the only one that doewnt get cakey on my nose or around my eyes. I smile/laugh a lot. Im a happy person. Foundation is going to crack/crease. Not this one with this primer! Only primer worth the money. Maybe I will try the dior foundation some day too🤔. But, why? This is pretty much perfection for my skin.

I wasn't sure if this primer would make much of a difference under my foundation, but it surprised me! Pleasant smell, doesn't feel heavy when applied to my face. Foundation goes on smooth, with a nice blurring effect.
