I have tried many eyeshadow primers and this one is by far the best. I have oily eyelids so the problem I have after a few hours is missing eyeshadow. Ever since I started using this primer, my eyeshadow stays put. It really helps my oily eyelids. My eyeshadow doesn't disappear and it doesn't crease! I was hesitant to try it at first because I didn't think a drug store primer would work, but it did. This is a must if you have oily eyelids!
I really wanted to love this product! I have used Too Faced Shadow Insurance for years and heard that the Milani eyeshadow primer was a great dupe, so I was eager to try it. Milani's eyeshadow primer smooths over eyelids easily and is nearly undetectable once applied. My eyeshadow held in place all day without creasing, which is exactly what I want an eyeshadow primer to do. Soon after application, I noticed a warm sensation on my eyelids which wasn't uncomfortable at first but built into an itchy, irritated feeling. I thought the cause was a glittery eyeshadow, so I tried the primer again with another eyeshadow in my collection which has never been problematic. I had the same warm, burning feeling, and my eyes were a little red. Some research into the ingredients causes me to suspect Bismuth Oxychloride (CI 77163) as the irritation culprit. It is also in many mineral powders and many other cosmetics. Bismuth gives a pearl-like effect in cosmetic products. It is a white powder with a fabulous sheen and a nice skin feel, but it is sensitive to light and skin irritation from bismuth oxychloride is not unusual. I would love to try this product again if they reformulated without Bismuth.

I have never used eye primer. It really makes your eyeshadow stand out

Goes on nice, not too drying, I do notice creasing at the mid day mark. Still trying it with different shadows. Tried with milani Matte shadow.

Reasonably priced and works very well. Used it a number of times.

it's really nothing special, i'd even say below average. i prefer the elf one which is cheaper anyway. i do have oily lids so i'm really picky about my eye primers. this one doesn't do it for me.

No yeah I bought this because it was the cheapest primer I could find at the time. I'm surprised to say that I actually really like it. It goes on smooth, and my eyeshadow doesn't crease. I'll be repurchasing.

I've tried elf, urban decay, and ABH eyeshadow primers, and I'd choose this one over those. It has a thicker but blendable consistency, and keeps my eyeshadow from creasing ALL DAY (I have oily lids). A little bit goes a long way! However, if you are looking for some coverage/color correcting for the lids, this will not be for you.

This works ok in the winter but now in the heat and humidity my eyeshadow just slides off. It's not worth the hype and my wet n wild one is so much better.

for the cost you cant pass this one up it does the job!!!

This primer works AMAZING with some eyeshadow formulas, but not so great with others. I think it's just a matter of experimenting with it, but when it works...IT WORKS! :)

I use just a bit and spread it around the lid and brow bone. It works wonderfully! Not oily at all (unless you use too much I'd imagine.) Blending is a breeze, and I noticed a HUGE difference in the staying power of my shadow in contrast to using no primer.

Eyeshadow lasts for a good seven to eight hours. After that eyeshadow starts to get patchy and fade off. This product does get oily after awhile. Overall, it is a decent product that gets the job done.

this product is so bad. do not use if u have oily skin bc the eyeshadow primer is like a slip and slide all on the lid. it's also very chunky when trying to apply.

Recommended by Emily Noel and she was right, it works well. This tube will last forever because not much is needed on each lid. So far, so good.
Dana from Ft Myers
Great eyeshadow primer. Lasts all day. Inexpensive
Maggi from Phoenix
Horrible primer. Eyeshadows don't blend well, after using this primer nothing would stay on it NOTHING. It turns eyeshadows patchy.

This product is super affordable & works well. A tube of this primer probably lasts me for close to a year. I even bought a tube for my mom.
Romee from Portland, ME
Does what it's supposed to do and allows for easy blending of eyeshadow. Plus it's a reasonable price! Can't beat it.

I am used to urban decay but wanted something not so pricey. Luckily my lids are oily cause it is drying. But this works great. Will purchase from now on.

The eye primer is not good. It's oily!!! It does not make eyeshadow stay at all. It makes them super patchy and hard to blend.
Brianna from Alpharetta
As I use it the oil separates from the product. it works okay but it's not the best "drugstore" primer. Probably for that reason

Does a great job of setting your eye shadow...and for an awesome price!

this would probably work if you were to have dry or normal skin, but right when i squeezed it out of the tube oil came out. threw it away right after:(

I have extremely oily lids and have tried tons of primers but they always crease. I was so surprised to find this it doesn't crease and works really well. I'm so glad I finally found a product that works for me!

From the moment I opened this product there was a clear oily liquid that came out. The cap didn't seem to have a great air tight seal so I'm wondering if it was already separated. Regardless when this finally dries from an oily mess, it clings to dry patches and almost creates dry patches as well (i.e it dries down and if you put anything over like concealer or powder theres an obvious "dry patch" there). I also didn't notice it helping with my eyeshadow at all. So I wouldn't recommend.
Hi from FL
I tried I urban decay eye primer but it expired fast. This milani primer doesn't expired. I have for 3 years and it still work.
