How to Use

This product is amazing and does exactly what it claims! Probably my favorite of all the CeraVe line.
Really the dark circle relief and puffiness relief in the morning is what impressed me, I've been using it only a week and a half, so I'm still waiting for the darker circles at my inner eye to fade with further use. Already the main portion of my dark circles have faded to invisibility.
I use this product everyday once in the Morning and once at Night. I spread it along the orbital bone as my dermatologist instructed (VERY IMPORTANT, and the cream will reach the rest of the undereye area from the orbital bone area, don't worry) which will prevent the bumps/breakouts some people report using this (bumps/breakouts comes from getting it in the eye/tear duct itself, though it's possible some reviewers were just allergic so always patch test!). I also use the cream on my top lid because I have some dark/brown discoloration there and it seems to be helping that fade as well.
It's disappeared most of my dark circles almost completely and I can tell the skin under my eye isn't so thin anymore--I get itchy eyes a lot so the skin around my eye has thinned out and this product has countered that and started to restore the healthiness to the skin around my eye.
The only warning about this product I'd give is that it can sometimes mildly burn if the skin around your eye is thin--the burning will go away once you use this for awhile as it thickens the skin around your eye. It also burns pretty bad if you get it in your eye, so pleaseplease avoid that! And again only apply under the eye by feeling around the orbital bone (that bone under your eye) to avoid getting it in your eye and causing irritation to the eye, or worse, in some peoples' case, breakouts and bumps.
The only other complaint I have is that I wish they gave you more cream for the price. It's still a fair price, though, considering how well it works. But I've recommended this to a friend and will continue to do so with everyone I know who struggles with eye discoloration, puffiness in the morning and/or thinness of the skin around the eye.
I used this product twice a day for a full month. To be fair, you should know I'm 41 and have that dreaded crepey under eye area. Here's my two cents:
I love that this cream comes in a tube because it makes the application very easy. The only con to this is that I have no idea how much product is still in there after a month's use. It still feels like there's quite a bit left, though.
The cream is a nice, thick formula and blends quickly and smoothly into the skin. I usually wait about 5 minutes for it to sink in before applying my makeup, and I have no problem with smudging.
Overall, it's a good product for the price. Considering the reputation of the brand and the fact that this cream contains hyaluronic acid, I was expecting better results. While it moisturizes well, it didn't deliver on repairing and restoring my under eye area.

Wanted to love this so much. It just didn't do ANYTHING. My dry dry lids didn't take in any moisture. My under eyes looked…not even the same, but worse? Normally a good brand. Not this one.

I normally love the Cerave products- I use their moisturizers & face wash constantly. So I assumed I would love this eye cream. I even tried it for a while, bought multiple tubes of this thinking it was helping me & that the irritation I felt around my eyes was due to seasonal allergies. NOPE. This stuff dried my eye area so badly. I'd wake up with dried tear stains because this cream was causing my eyes to water & consequently, drying out the whole area- aka making my wyes look worse than if I wasn't using eye cream

This is the second eye cream I've ever used. I decided to try this out because I love the brand. But I noticed that it kinda stung my eye area but I kept using it. After s fee days I stopped noticing the stinging. After 2 weeks of using it I noticed that my eyes were getting irritated throughout the day and I couldn't figure out why. To the point that my eyes were sensitive to the light and my eyes were water so bad I struggled to see when I was driving. A few days ago I started noticing the outer corners of my eyes were red, dry, and flaky. They felt so tight and it hurt! I haven't used it since and today makes day 3 of not using this product and my outer corners look terrible. I'm afraid it's going to damage my skin. Very upset please don't try this product. Find another alternative.

it's ok for moisture but it caused a bunch of small bumps under my eyes!

This is a super good moisture product for the under eyes. If I don't use it I notice how dry the area is. But it doesn't do anything for dark circles.
Terrible from Orange County
Terrible. Around my eyes I noticed after the second day I ended up getting red patched my eyes started burning . I have only used it for a week and it has been the worst product ever I ended up getting worse skin then before. I don't not recommend it

Buy this product was and is a nightmare for me. I have combination skin, I don't have bags under my eyes but I have dark circles and some fine lines. I wasn't looking for a miracle in this product, I bought it for some extra moisture under my eyes. I use other products from the CeraVe line that have worked without problems and for that reason I decided to try this product. The first days of use, everything worked normally. But on the fifth day of using it, I started to get itchy around my eyes, my eyes were watering a lot and also a small rash in the outer corner of the eye. Like any new product, stop using it to confirm that it was the cream but the damage was done. The skin around the eye went from combined to dry, excuse me: not dry, SUPER dry. It has been 2 weeks since I stopped using this cream and I am still dealing with the itchiness, stinging, dryness and a few days of irritation around my eye. I know what doesn't work for me works for others but I hope to help someone with sensitive skin think twice before purchasing this product.

This product is very good !! Every time I apply it I feel my eyes wake up and the dark circles go down. It's really easy to apply too.

This eye cream is expensive and it's very small sized. I wouldn't buy it again because it doesn't do much. If you want to have hydrated under eye, just consider that eye cream is a glorified moisturizer, you can find a bigger size and thicker moisturizer to apply on
Mexicanmom from Denver colorado
It moisturizes the under eyes but doesnt reduce the color of dark circles. Its more like a lotion. It does work as a base when using concealer to cover dark circles on makeup.

I've been using this for almost 3 months and haven't noticed a difference at all.

It's a good daily moisturizer, but it does not do anything else that it claims to do. It does not reduce puffiness or the look of dark circles.

I dab this around my eyes, except on my lids. Very moisturizing without being oily or greasy. Also it's portable, easy to throw in my purse and dab on if I feel dry.
Jes from KS
definitely helps with dark circles and lines
Alyssa from Texas
It's an eye cream but I don't see any repairing it's done
Crea from Indiana
It will moisture, however I thought would help with my dark circles and I have. It seem a difference. I have been using probably around a month. I will use till empty & probably look for another product. I didn't expect a huge change, however I don't notice a difference at all.

So this isn't terrible at all, but not for me. this brand is supposed to be good for eczema, but if i'm having a flare up on my eyes this makes it burn A LOT. this would probably be good for normal skin types in my opinion.
bevp61 from AZ
This brand was recommended by my dermatologist. I've used the body cream for a few years and was happy to discover the eye cream. Very affordable and great for your skin and eyes.
jess from AL
Normally cervae is a safe brand to use and I don't get adverse reactions but this caused breakouts each morning. I applied at night and it isn't a greasy product just not a fit for my skin
Brenna from Huntington Beach
Purchased this because I have a lot of fine lines under my eyes and thought this would help my concealer sit better on my skin. To be honest, it's not a necessary product. You can simply pull your regular moisturizer up toward your eyes to hydrate the skin around them and get the same benefits.
Kc from Nevada
It's hydrating, but that's about it. It doesn't seem to help with dark circles for me. I'm going to try something else.
nono from VA
Honestly I've been using it for 3 months and it's didn't do anything, not even in the slightest. Around my eyes I kinda dark but not too much but it still bothered me so I got this and it simply doesn't work.
None from Monroe, LA
I use this product under my eyes and on the outside corners of my eyes. It is non-greasy and easy to apply. It keeps down the fine lines and puffiness.

Bare basics eye cream. Safe for sensitive eyes and contact lenses. Caused milia that I previously have never had. For a few more dollars just get the Mad Hippie eye cream.

A mature+dry skintype friend gave this to me(25, dehydrated oily+large pores) so we could try it together & compare.1st use burned my v.tender undereyes so I shelved it. Gave it another go months later... has been my main eye cream since. I don't get puffiness, but it's 1st thing ever to make noticeable dents on dark circle issues, not lines tho. Undereye sensitivity greatly reduced, havent had a single tiny hard bump since, never clogs surrounding pores. Most days I layer a thicker product on top as it's my only spot w/ dryness+flaking. But if I'm extra oily or problematic, this is plenty.
HIGHLY reccomend for brightening, repairing underye's moisture barrier/sensitivity+tenderness, & finicky skins.
