Can I use Paul Mitchell as a leave in conditioner? Very thin African American hair

Official Answer By Paul Mitchell
Extra-Body Conditioner works best as a rinse out conditioner. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
what is the difference between extra-body conditioner and detangler one?
Asked by finehair
Official Answer By Paul Mitchell
Extra-Body Conditioner is great for fine hair and has a volumizing result. The Detangler is best for medium to coarse hair and leaves hair feeling feeling replenished and instantly conditioned. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
When will the Extra Body Conditioner be available? What is a good substitute to use with the shampoo?
Asked by n/a
Official Answer By Paul Mitchell
Extra Body Conditioner is currently backordered and should be back in stock early August 2021. A comparable conditioner would be Invisiblewear Conditioner. Invisiblewear Conditioner softens strands and builds volume. Was this answer helpful to you

extra body and shine

Just wanted to remind Faith from Georgia that this product is a conditioning rinse, NOT shampoo. Therefore, it isn't supposed to lather. Paul Mitchell makes great products and the best part is that they aren't tested on animals.

Definitely does make your hair thicker... and greasier

I decided to purchase this product because I have made the switch to cruelty free products. I have been using it for a little over a week. I already have thick hair, but I did not pay attention when the bottle said it was for fine hair, because in my experience, conditioners always say they'll thick...

Disappointed is an understatement.

This is the first time I've bought anything from this brand and it will be the last. This "conditioner" doesnt condition anything and leaves an insane amount of buildup on my hair. I bought the shampoo as well and that works fine but the conditioner actually makes it harder to detangle. When my hair is dried its so hard to even run a brush through it from all the buildup and I have fine, thin hair. Ive been trying to give this conditioner a chance for about a week now. If I could give this a zero, I would. I'm definitely returning this.

Not happy with it

This conditioner leaves my hair super greasy and sticky. I have super fine straight hair and I was hoping it would be cleaner but it weighs my hair down bad. Also leaves a weird smell when my hair is being dried. Wont be buying it again. I look like I haven't washed my hair within an hour of drying.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

Not for my fine curly hair

My hair is baby fine and curly with an oily scalp. I need body, but also some moisture to hold my curls. But most curl products are too heavy. I really like the shampoo in this line because it smells lightly fruity, cleans my oily hair well and adds body, but this conditioner is way too light for me. I suspect this is best for very straight limp hair that's not too long. I'm sure it's great conditioner for the right hair type.

The best shampoo

I have straight, fine hair and this shampoo adds volume and some texture to the hair so it's not so flat. I will try other shampoos and always go back to this Paul Mitchell. It does leave a little bit of residue on your hair but just using a little dry shampoo takes it right away

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
