For a bold, metallic look - or to layer on extra shimmer - use the Expressionist palette. To curate your own look, mix and match the Realist, Futurist, Modernist, and Idealist palettes.
To amplify metallic shades, use a wet brush to intensify the color payoff.

Perfect versatile everyday eyeshadow palette!
I'm so impressed with Curator eyeshadow palette by Hourglass. I ordered Idealist which is a perfect variety of metallic and matte shades. This palette is so versatile, perfect for everyday wear and can be elevated for a night out. Eyeshadows feel super smooth and velvety. They look flawlessly the entire day. I will be definitely picking up another palette in a different shade. Gifted by Hourglass.
Try a color range very different from your skin tone
This Hourglass Curator Eyeshadow Palette, while buttery textured, luxe and beautiful to look at, left me a bit wanting in terms of color story. I usually love a mix of mattes and shimmers, but these shimmers are so incredibly subtle when applied that I was more interested in the mattes. I tried to create looks that combined all of the shades but felt better just using one or two colors. I have the palette in another shade range and this is true for those as well. All in all, I think this works best for someone whose skin tone is actually far away from the tones in the palette- either much darker or much lighter. This was complimentary from Hourglass.

This palette is absolutely beautiful! The shades in Idealist are soft, romantic, and perfect for everyday wear. I love how smooth and buttery the formulas are, they apply and blend with ease. Great for everyday
I got the shade Modernist and the first thing that caught my eye was the packaging. It comes in a steel case that feels really sturdy, probably the most solid eyeshadow palette I own. It seems like it would be great for travel. The palette has three matte shades and one metallic, all neutrals that work well for everyday looks. The pigment is on the lighter side, so I do have to build it up with a few layers. I don't really mind that since I prefer a softer look, but for the price, I expected the shades to be a bit more pigmented. gifted by hourglasscosmetics
