First off, this product works! The "clean" textured side, with all the nubbies, definitely gets into your pores and removes gunk that's been living there for ages. My pores look a lot smaller than when I started using this 3 months ago - I've even started using it on my neck and chest to hopefully d...elay wrinkleage. I use it twice a day, and I feel it helps to remove makeup face wash is leaving behind. I really do like how this model is rechargeable, and I wish all pmd models were. As far as the obsidian side goes, I'm a little mixed (hence my deduction of stars). I would use this side 1xday, while applying serum. The heated stone felt great on my skin, but I can't say there's hard evidence (like how the clean side reduced pore appearance) that this side is doing any tricks. In the long run, I can see it being preventative in aging signs. But here's my real beef (& why this side gets the past tense) - no matter how hard I tried, this device would fall off its stand at least 1-2 times a day...it would even somehow fall out of my medicine cabinet. The thing would just not stay put. Sure, it's something that could be overlooked, but it recently fell out of its stand and on to the ceramic tile in my bathroom, nearly shattering the obsidian side, and therefore, no longer usable. I can still use the clean side, but I'm hesitant because water can get into and under the cracked obsidian and things can start growing in there. I paid a fair amount of money on this thing, and I don't see myself doubling down for a new one. If you have ceramic floors in your bathroom, you may want to consider a stoneless device. Another small deduction would be you can't tell how the battery life is - you just have to wait for it to stop working on you unless you constantly charge it.
