I have been a fan of... I have been a fan of CoverGirl ever since I first started wearing makeup, as their pressed powders are what I would use to wear to school. And, I have continued to support the line throughout the years non-stop, because I like that their products are very affordable, and I consider to be some of the best drugstore products ever. I am a huge sucker for the color pink, so when I saw the pink packaging that really caught my eyes in a very huge way. In regards to the shade range it is not a huge one, but that's always been the case when it comes to CoverGirl's shade ranges if the powders that they offer. Hopefully, in the future, they will seek to change such so that shades for a lot more skin tones can be included, so that no one will ever be left out, when it comes to finding a shade match within their products. Fenty opened the door and now it's time for CoverGirl to come through it. Now, when it comes to the shades offered, some of them do run darker than their names. I am of a medium skintone, and I find the shade "Fair" to be the best match for me. I most definitely will continue he to use and purchase this powder again, because it looks lightweight on the skin, not heavy at all, it doesn't cake or crease up on me, neither does it oxidize the longer I wear it. It also doesn't cause my skin to breakout, which I can personally tell you is something that is super hard to find, because so many of them will clog up ones pores like crazy. I do use this as a light foundation when I wear it. However, I always slot conceal with concealer first before applying this powder. I do like that CoverGirl is trying to cater more towards providing clean beauty products to consumers, so I am glad that they have decided to start going in that direction, as CoverGirl continues to find ways to get better and better with each and every year when it comes to the new products that they come out with. Oh, and this is not a powder that females should be afraid to try, even if if they have dry or very skin. With a great skincare routine, dry skinned individuals do not have to be afraid to use powders. A great skincare regimen will go a mighty long way, best believe!
I admit I hadnt used... I admit I hadnt used CoverGirl in many many years, but I was chosen to test and review a few complimentary items from Influenster: the Clean Fresh Pressed Powder and the Clean Fresh Hydrating Concealer. Both are labeled Vegan & Cruelty Free, so thats definitely an plus before I even tried applying them. I like to try them exactly as theyre packaged and not with any other applicators like beauty blenders and brushes. To start, I washed my face and moisturized and then laid down a bit of the hydrating concealer under my eyes, along my nose, and a bit around my mouth to cover a few hyperpigmentation spots. Coverage for those places are very important to me in a concealer, so if they cant provide coverage then its not the concealer for me. The first thing I noticed was that it was a bit of a watery consistency, so I knew right away this was going to be a light concealer and not the intensive concealers I require for my personal use. It didnt really cover the areas I needed coverage very well, even after building up the product in those places. I do think that this would be a great concealer for someone with a more even skin tone who is going for a sheer coverage look. After I applied the Hydrating Concealer, I then picked up the Clean Fresh Pressed Powder and began to set the concealer. I noticed right away that the shade I had been sent was too dark for my skin, despite choosing the shade Light Pale. The application sponge was very rough and it didnt really pick up the product effectively. I dont recommend using it without a brush. Both products are meant for a clean and simple natural look, with sheer coverage. I dont think Ill use them again, but I am impressed with how far CoverGirl has come from my middle school and early high school days of oily foundations and talc-y pressed powders (the Clean Fresh Pressed Powder is labeled as being talc-free!).
Good product, but ingredient list is wrong 3

I have super sensitive acne prone skin and have recently cut all pore cloggers out of my skincare and makeup routines. I was excited to find a pressed powder with no pore cloggers, but after I used this I broke out. Sure enough I looked at the ingredients list on the package and not only was there a pore clogger (isopropyl palmitate) but phenoxyethanol, another ingredient I try to avoid. The ingredients list on the ulta website is wrong, and just says "Isopropyl." I ordered online and had to return. I was bummed because the actual product is great; affordable, cute packaging and controlled shine throughout my busy day at work. Would recommend to those who aren't concerned about pore cloggers or potential allergens/irritants.

Beautiful powder 5

This powder is so beautiful as a finishing powder. It tones down the shine on my skin while leaving a beautiful sheen finish so my skin doesn't look matte, but it also doesn't look shiny. It gives off a really pretty radiance. This is my favorite pressed powder for sure!
