Best full coverage foundation for mature dry skin!!!
I cannot believe how lovely this foundation feels and looks on my skin. I used 2 light layers and it covered all of my redness. I am a fan for life!! I used moisturizer and primer before applying and it went on like a dream.
New favorite
I was a faithful user of the Maybelline Superstay and it is now discontinued, so I was on a hunt for a replacement and this one is amazing! It is very light weight on the skin, it covers very well, and lasts all day!! It is has a powdery finish on the skin, so blending while it is still wet is highly recommended. I have dermatitis in the area around my mouth, so I add a few drops of the maybelline skin tint to create a more cream feel that will keep those areas from flaking. If you don't have the same issue with dermatitis that I do, the foundation as is will work perfectly. This foundation will not dissapoint! My foundation at the end of the day looks like it did when I applied it, and I have combination/oily skin. I used the "find your shade" feature and it was pretty accurate. I appreciate the many tones NYX offers for the foundation.
Choose the right base(Sunscreen!!)
This is a beautiful, long lasting foundation-- but ONLY if you pair it with something very dewy. I wear Supergoop! play sunscreen under this, which is extremely dewy. I am sure that if I attempted a formula with more dimethicone underneath, I would experience patching and cracking, or perhaps pilling. It's not for everyone, but I love that it allows me to pile on my sunscreen and has the ability to set it properly. I only need a touch of powder around the spots of my face with a lot of motion.
Omg I'm 41!
Ok so to start, I spend the money on skin care, foundation, all the things. This (i primed with elf grip primer) is literally mainf my faw look filtered. Like unbelievable. I will say I have oily skin, and lately have strughled trying to get my face to look pretty without enhancing my fine lines. I don't know it's because the oil but this has lasted on my face all day. I love it. Yes, it is a little drying, but with the right skin prep and me having oily to combo skin I love it.
The driest foundation I've ever used
My skin is combo oily, so matte foundations typically don't cause me problems. I was honestly shocked that my face looked DRY and flaky with this foundation on. It was as if the foundation sucked the oil out of my face. I also found it pretty difficult to blend, as it would dry almost instantaneously. Overall, I just think you should steer clear unless you have incredibly oily skin, not just "kinda sorta" oily.
