I came across Orly's Bonder when I wanted an alternative to gel manicures at the salon. I had gotten 4 gel manicures over a couple of months and my nails were in terrible shape as a result. As a total nail polish lover, I needed to find something to replace the gel manicure that would keep my polish from peeling after one day. So after a bit of research, I found Bonder. It took a bit of trial and error to find the best method to use it but once I did I only had one tiny chip in a week's wear. My method is this : 1 coat Bonder, 1 coat Zoya polish (my new favorite brand, the colors are amazing), 2nd coat Bonder, 2nd coat Zoya polish, then OPI Topcoat.
Also, I bought Bonder on sale, but I will gladly pay the full price in the future when I need to restock.
My nail color doesn't last any longer with this stuff than with a cheaper basecoat. In fact, once it starts chipping, it actually peels off.

I honestly didn't have very high hopes for any base coat as it has always been my experience they are useless unless you are wearing dark polish and want to prevent it from staining your nails. Other than that I have never had a base coat do anything until I tried this one.
This really has kept the polish on my nails. I used to always have my polish peel completely off in one piece in the past when I used a base coat but this sticks to my nail and the polish sticks right to the base coat. No peeling and it has been 4 days (for me that is forever as my polish usually peels in 2 to 3 days).
It also made the polish glide onto my nails more smoothly. I don't have any ridges so I can't speak to that issue.

Absolutely love this base coat. It makes my manicures last days longer than without using it. Normally mine last 2-3 days. I get right around a week of perfect nails with this product. It's also making my nails stronger which is an added benefit

Sorry, Orly, but nothing, absolutely nothing works like the ORLY Ridge Filler. For whatever reason, your best product has been discontinued and BONDER has been put in its place. I was a huge fan and purchased Ridge Filler often, now I'm using other brands. BONDER doesn't do it for me. Every year for birthdays and Christmas, Ridge Filler was a standard that all my gal pals would look forward to. Why? Because IT WORKS!! What a mistake to drop it!

I love to do my nails. I play with gel, powders, nail polish strips, and nail polish. That said, I've also used different brands of base and top coats. This base coat has so far performed the best. I can already see the difference in the way the nail polish looks after day1 of application. It's smoother, glossier, and I hadn't added a top coat. I wanted to see what would happen over night. I plan to add the ORLY Glosser top coat to see how much shine I get. It claims to keep a polished, chip free nail for 2 weeks. So far, I can see this mani will last longer than 3-5 days before chipping. I work with kiddos so my hands are constantly washed being covered in paint, glue, dirt, etc. lol. This is going to be a Christmas gift for all my nail polish loving friends.🎄

The Bonder has been on my list to purchase and I finally did it. The polish definitely stays on longer. I am pleased with this product.

Will not do my nails without it. Wonderful products. I use 2 coats if I am out of ridge filler.

I've been using this product for years after seeing it at a nail salon. More recently I saw a blogger use it in layers in between the color polish. I polished my nails 5 days ago and there's not a chip in sight. I'm hoping to get 8-10 days!

I use this under my color street nail strips and it helps them last even longer ! I also do my own pedicures and my toe nail polish will last weeks without chipping.

If you wear regular nail polish, get this!! My nail polish usually lasts two days before it starts chipping. But with this bonder I get about 7 days of wear on my hands before it starts chipping. I tried using one coat as instructions stated but that didn't work for me. I tried it again with two coats of the bonder, followed by Essie or OPI nail polish, then OPI top coat. And it lasts me a whole week. Make sure to cap your free edge after every coat of bonder, nail polish, and top coat, to get optimal results. If you're washing dishes and cleaning a lot, it'll only last about a day or two. But if your hands aren't in water most of the time, you'll be good to go!

I have never been able to wear nail polish on my fingernails without it peeling off within 24 hours (whether self applied or done by a manicurist). I decided to give this a try and I have by polish (Essie Ballet Slippers and Essie Gel Couture Top Coat) for 4 days and there is NO chipping or peeling.

Put this in as a base coat and it will keep your polish on for a couple weeks

A really good base coat that helps keep my nails from coloring from nail polish. It works REALLY well with the Orly Bondy. I use Essie, OPI and Chanel nail polishes and it gives the same protection effect and I now refuse to do my nails without this product. Love it!

I have tried to a long lasting base coat that works for the longest and out of all the ones I have tried this one is the best. My manicure last up to 10 days without getting chipped! Truly underrated.

Have clean nails and hands. Put on the rubberized basecoat. Let it dry. Put polish on top. DONE! Coincidentally I have a bottle of Orly polish that is a one-coat variety. Everything is still nice, four days later. In these days of constant mask wearing, lipstick, foundation, blush are pretty unnecessary. Let's flirt with our hands!

If you do your nails with regular polish at home- you NEED this! I've had polish on my nails for a week and I've only had to redo one nail which is incredible for me. I use this and the "polished" topcoat and this is the best my nails have lasted.

I use with color street nail strips! Makes the strips last longer!

Bought this hoping it would keep my nails from chipping and not only did it exceed my expectations, but it also helped protect my nails from damage! The base coat I normally use leaves my nails looking weak and peeled. The Bonder however left them looking exactly as they were before they were painted! Love this!

I will preface this by saying I use the Sally Hansen quick dry formula so I don't know if that causes any issues, but I didn't notice any change or greater length of staying power. I followed the directions exactly and used it as a topcoat and base-coat as the directions recommend. I will not be buying this product again.

Maybe I was expecting too much from this product, or maybe I didn't use it right. I read all of the reviews highlighting how this base coat keeps nail polish from chipping. However, my nail polish chipped within two days. I did not use Orly brand nail polish, and the polish was a dark color (and chips show up much more with dark colors). I will try it again with an Orly nail polish, and see if that works better.

I've been using this as a base coat for the past decade. It works. Period.

This stuff WORKS. I'm on day 4 of my nail polish and I'm in the middle of moving so I've been very hard on my manicure. This is with one coat of this Orly bonder, and 2 coats of opi polish. 4 DAYS! I NEVER get this kind of wear out of my opi polishes. Excellent product! I highly recommend!

I was having trouble with polish peeling right off within 2-3 days of painting my nails. This Orly Bonder has fixed this issue for me so I highly recommend it.

Hands down this will extend the life of your manicure. I have been using it for years and use it with any brand of polish (Opi, Zoya, Essie) and recently tried it with the Orly breathable polish. I get the best results when using this with higher brand polishes and I use two coats of " Out the Door" top coat to seal everything. Make sure your nail bed is clean and free of lotion and oils before you apply.

I remember in college a girlfriend told me I needed a rubberized bonder base coat to make my nail polish last. I'm an engineer and constantly working with my hands so within hours my manicure would chip. Using this stuff gets me at least 3 solid days of pristine manicure before chips or cracks. I know that doesn't sound like much, but for me it a huge improvement. Some other reviews say this makes their polish peel clean off, I have noticed that with some brands but it's dependant on the color not the basecoat. I will never use anything except for this formula.

If you do a regular mani like me, I highly recommend this base coat! My nails don't chip as often if I wear this underneath. I peel my nail polish off sometimes out of habit and I can tell this stuff WANTS to stick to my nails. Please make sure you properly dehydrate your nails with acetone or isopropyl alcohol to dry the nail plate and allow maximum adhesion. I do the dishes with no gloves, daily, and my mani lasts about a week with MINIMAL chipping compared to using no base coat or other base coats. I'm a nail tech, and I'm honestly amazed how well this base coat works and how long my nails last with regular polish as well as proper application. 10/10 recommend.
