The bristles are just the perfect amount of strength for a nice slick back without hurting your head. We love the curvature on the bristles that is contoured to the natural shape of the head making it easy to use and do a quick slick pack. Perfect for my daughter's thick curly hair and my wavy hair. [I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This brush is lightweight, has a thoughtful design, and is attractive. It feels good in the hand and is easy to use. Having long hair, I prefer a paddle brush, but this was portable and had a v-shaped tip to make styling at the hairline easier. I did notice that a few bristles were too long when compared to the rest of the brush, so I trimmed them. The selling price is reasonable for the quality and functionality.
