I've been using this for a few weeks now and its a very easy, straightforward application. I use it at night a few times a week. I have noticed that my skin feels a lot softer. As for appearance, I really haven't seen a big change in my skins appearance.

I received a free sample of Bakuchiol Retinol Alternative Body Serum from Herbivore to try. Here is my experience using Bakuchiol. The product comes in a sturdy glass bottle with a pump. I find this to be a plus, as many active ingredients in skincare do not keep their potency if they are bottled in plastic. The product is lightweight with a silky texture that absorbs quickly into the skin, leaving no greasy or sticky feeling. Right away, my skin felt softer. I liked that it was so lightweight I could layer a heavier cream over some of my drier, rougher spots (i.e., elbows and knees.) The scent was pleasant and not overpowering, which was a plus for me. I am sensitive to smell and I can not stand a product that is overperfumed. The Bakuchiol had a lovey light scent that smelled like faint grape and blossom. The scent did not linger long either, making it a refreshing experience that didn't leave your nightclothes and bedding perfumed the next morning. Other retinol-type products I have tried have left a chemical smell behind, so a big plus for this retinol alternative! I am enjoying this product so much that I will keep it as part of my nighttime body routine moving forward. My skin just loves it. Definitely recommend!

Has a light, fresh scent that goes on smooth. I find it to be a great alternative if you are sensitive to retinols, it doesn't make me peel. It could double as a great make up primer!
