Q
Can I use this at night with my glycolic acid cleanser?
Asked by Ash
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
Hi there! Thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately, it is difficult for us to comment on the pairing of our products with those of other brands. We recommend consulting with your doctor/dermatologist, gradually incorporating one new product into your regimen at a time, and applying test patches first to see what works best for your skin. We hope this helps. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Can Alpha Arbutin 2% HA be used with Niacinamide and in what order?
Asked by GL

Hey there! Both Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA and Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% can be used in together in the same regimen. We recommend applying based on order of concern as they are both water-based serums. Was this answer helpful to you

Is this good for aging skin texture? Over the years I've developed little bumps, I forgot what they're called but they def need help! I hate meeting people because they stick up so much. I was told to use Salic acid or another acid over the counter so I'm looking for skin texture helo

Hi there, Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% can help address textural irregularities over time. You may also wish to explore our Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner as an alternative. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Can you use this with mandelic serum?
Asked by Beatrice
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
Hi there, we do not recommend layering both acids in the same regimen. You can, however, alternate (ie. Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% one night, Mandelic Acid 10% + HA the next). We hope this helps! Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Can I use alpha arbutin and azelaic acid in the same routine? Which one is best for post inflammatory hyperpigmentation, to fade dark spots? How do I used
Asked by Ms. V
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
Hi there, Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA and Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% may be used together in the same routine. We'd recommend applying Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA first. For pigmentation, we recommend Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA. Simply apply a few drops to the face after cleansing, and follow it up with your Azelaic Acid Suspension 10%. We hope this helps! Was this answer helpful to you

This stuff has saved my skin

I was suffering from bad hormonal acne on my chin. I went to a dermatologist and she put me on antibiotics for three months and prescribed very agressive creams. I tried it for three months but my acne got worse. I still had the Azelaic Acid Suspension laying around and decided to give it a go, in o...

Received oxidized serum

This was my first time ordering and sadly I received an already oxidized serum which is supposed to be unoppened, most probably it's a batch that is expired as the website states unoppened products have 3 years shelf life. I will seek to return this product and hope there won't be much hassle in t...

Surprisingly pretty effective with my redness

Submitted 6 days ago

By Jen Jen

From Los Angeles

I have severe redness all over my face and Im very paranoid about what I put on my face. I love the velvet after feeling I get with this product. I also use it only at night given the other reviews. The only complaint I have is that it is only sold in this small size.

Hormonal/pregnancy acne

Submitted 8 days ago

By Avery

From California

Hormonal acne has kicked my butt during pregnancy, and almost nothing helped at until this (even other brands/types of azalaic acid). This didn't cure the issue entirely but it is one of the only things that visibly helped and made a noticable difference for me in an issue that was really impacting my confidence! Recommend buying multiple at a time if you like it because it can run out quickly.

Hard to Use

Submitted 8 days ago

By Kristina

From Midway, GA

I cant speak to how well this product works for hyperpigmentation because it pills so horribly you literally cannot use any other products with it. And forget about wearing foundation over it! As someone who is 37 yo and struggling with hormonal acne, my other products are a non negotiable, so I rarely use this except occasionally on the weekends when I dont wear makeup. And when I do use it, it seems like I get an increase of blackheads a day later. Im glad this wasnt expensive because it mainly sits on my vanity taking up space lol. If you have a similar sitch as me, I highly recommend the acne kit from Tula; it also has azaleic acid in it, and has done wonders for my acne AND fading my acne scars.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

My skin texture and breakouts got worse

Submitted 19 days ago

By Amber

From Pflugerville

This was supposed to be a rosacea friendly acne management product. It smells awful. It pills up badly if you don't give it 3-4 minutes to absorb and I've had more breakouts after 6 weeks of use.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
