Most Helpful Positive Review The perfect dry shampoo for fine/oily hair! My hair type is extremely fine and straight. It can also be dry at the ends, but extremely oily at the roots the day after I wash it. I try to go as long as I can without washing it because I do color it and my ends are prone to breakage (especially in the winter). The Batiste dry shampoo is a dream come true for my hair!! I have posted photos of my hair at 4 days since I last washed it. My roots still look very clean! I do not look oily or greasy. I also love the Batiste Original because it gave my hair some texture and a lot of volume. I was able to put a little curl/wave in it, which is difficult for me to do. And my hair does not look flat, which is a feat! Additionally the smell of the Batiste is very nice. It's clean and not "perfume-y". I am very sensitive to overpowering smells and this is not overpowering at all. One thing I will note is that is does leave a residue on the scalp (which I have found with every dry shampoo), but it's not very heavy and it doesn't bother me. I found the Batiste Original to work perfectly for my fine, oily hair. I really love this product.
Most Helpful Critical Review It's Me, Not You My hair is straight and very, very fine. The only products I can get away with using on it dry are hairspray and the teeniest, teeniest bit of argan oil. Otherwise everything else just weighs it down. I also have to wash it every day (or every other day if i wear it down one day, up the next). I bough this in hopes of prolonging the time between washes, because it's obviously not good to wash your hair as much as i need to.
This isn't a bad product--i can see how it would work very well for some people. For me, it showed up a little dusty in my brown hair (which you can get rid of by massaging it in really well), but it also weighed it down a bit, as almost everything does.
Glad i tried it, but sadly this must go back. Ulta has a great return policy, so if you think you'd like it, try it! I think, unless your hair is a finicky as mine, you might just like it!

The best of dry shampoos 4
hs from Racine
This is my favorite dry shampoo on the market. The smell is always great and works to hide day 2 oils. The only thing I don't like is how chalky it is.. after using it, my bathroom is coated in white powder which drives me insane!
Bomb product 5

I recently got my haircut really short, so I found myself touching it a lot to get out of my face and really just to mess with it and get it to look the way I wanted. This left it getting greasy literally one day after washing it. This was an absolute lifesaver because it not only smells great, but it gives volume and gets rid of that dirty, greasy look. I've used other dry shampoos and none of them are as good as this
Not my favorite 3
Steph from Atlanta
I had high hopes for this dry shampoo after reading about it. I didn't care for the smell, and it did leave a dusty whitish-gray residue on my hair. Probably won't purchase again.
13 oz size works great. But impossible to get the lid off! 3
Pattys from Illinois
With the 13 oz size, the lid is nearly impossible to remove from the canister. I had to whack it hard on the edge of the bathroom sink, which of course caused the nozzle of the spray to dislodge. But thankfully it popped right back on. Stop making the lid so dern tight!
Best one yet 5

I have used a lot of dry shampoos and this one is by far my favorite one!!
There's better, but it made me loose hair 2

Don't get me wrong, this does the job. I originally loved the product when I first bought it. Then I noticed I started getting bald spots in the front of my head. I did some research and turns out it was cause of this stuff. If you're thinking of buying, get a travel size and make sure you don't go bald!!!

I used this only a handful of times because it gave me a rash and my hair started to fall out. I have used so many dry shampoos and that has never happened before. I don't even have sensitive skin/scalp. And I know it was the Batiste because within a week of discontinuing to use it, the red, dry and itchy patches started to go away.
Reminds me of hairspray my mom used in early 60's 3

It smells like nothing but aerosol to me- Im super sensitive to smells as they trigger bad migraines. So I have tried a few different scents- but I think the aerosol is so overpowering - the scent just isnt there- but Ive forced myself to use this, since there has been such a big hype about it.
Just doesn't do anything for my hair!! Wish it did especially for the price point as a couple others I use are about 3x cost of Batiste
Not for me 1
Maria from Cleveland
If you have brown hair don't even bother, it literally looks like you are a 90 year old woman with grey hair after use. However I can tell it does what dry shampoo is meant to do, just is probably better suited for blondes
Loved it! My favorite dry shampoo! 5

It doesn't leave your hair feeling like it has any product in it

Spray and go! Refreshed!
Renewed my faith in dry shampoo 5
katibug from Florida
I thought I hated dry shampoo. I was wrong, it's magical. I had tried multiple other brands, all way more expensive than Batiste, and they all left my hair feeling greasy and slimy, especially by the end of the day. This one actually works the way a dry shampoo is intended to work! And it actually gets better as the day goes on—so by the end of the day, my hair feels even better than it did in the morning.
Works great 5

All Time Favorite 5

I have been using the Batiste Dry Shampoo for the past 3 years, and it my all time fave. It is very powder and absorbs all the excess oil in my hair. It is affordable and out performs any high end dry shampoo I have tried. I always go back to this one, and love the jumbo size.

Buyer Beware It's NOT 13.46oz- It's actually 8.46oz 1
K from Kansas
I feel pretty cheated thinking that the 13.46 oz was the actual volume of product in the container, but it isn't!! No if you read further on the label it lists 240g is the Net Weight- meaning that the actual amount of product is just under 8.5 oz. I think it needs to be labeled with the net weight in ounces in addition to the grams because it's very misleading. The only reason I noticed is because I took the plunge and bought the 7.3 oz Living Proof Dry Shampoo and the bottle is nearly bigger than the Batiste! Because Living Proof has 206g of product only 32g (just over an ounce) less than Batiste. I know the price is dramatically different but because of the misleading labeling I will never buy the Batiste brand again. Also, Ulta you need to make the amount of product in the bottle clearer to online shoppers because it seems like the customer is buying 13.46 oz when it's really 8.46 oz.

Freshens hair 5
Nonna from NC
This is great for freshening hair. Doesn't dry my hair out.
Just meh 2
Audrey from Madison
I used to love this stuff, but it would run out quick. Then they raised the price so I thought it'd be a good time to try others. Ever since I've tried others I realized how bad this stuff really is. Idk if something changed in the formula or packaging as they became more popular, but this stuff is now okay at best. For how quickly it runs out, you spend the same amount per year with a better quality dry shampoo that's more expensive. I won't be buying this stuff again.
smells nice and it works but.... 2
Char from New York City, New York
this stuff leaves a horrible white residue on my hair, I'll admit I have pretty dark hair but it also weighs my hair down and only leaves it fresh for a few hours before the oils come through again.
