Most Helpful Positive Review If you use it properly it will work
Don't try to do this in a rush. I recommend prior to using for best results: wash your face with a moisturizing face wash, GENTLY exfoliate (areas you're using the Nair), and last- keep a lukewarm cloth for a few minutes over the areas you plan on using the cream (to soften to hair). This is a solid 15 minutes prep. Apply the Nair in an even and thick layer where you want to get rid of the hair. Set a timer for exactly 5 minutes. Check an area with a q-tip or round cotton face pad. If the hair comes off, go ahead and gently remove the cream. If it doesn't do 1 minute checks. 7 minutes is my perfect time. Seriously never leave on longer than 10 minutes because it will burn your skin and make red. I use barely-damp cotton pads (about 5-8 depending on how much area you're covering) and very gently wipe the cream in the direction your hair grows. Once you remove the cream, rinse your face with cold water, pat your face dry (use a nice soft towel careful not to scrub your face), and immediately apply facial lotion- I use Jergens all purpose face cream -nothing perfumey or scented not meant for your face. Leave your face alone for about 30 min to an hour (don't immediately try and apply powder and foundation). If you do it just like this, Nair will work perfectly every time. The trick is not to rush it- it's a serious chemical.

I had this product for fine hairs on my upper lip, chin, and a few fine cheek hairs. I followed instructions thoroughly left on for 5 mins, when I went to wipe off with a wash cloth OMG lets just say my face felt like it was on a stove being cooked!! Once I finally got it all off I screamed when I threw cold water on my face to rinse the rest off completely. This took place about 2 hrs ago, now my face is extremely red, is still burning badly, ooooo and the best part I have red bumps, and scabs everywhere. Would not recommend ever, unless you want to feel miserable. It did remove the fine hairs tho but in exchange gave me scabs =(
Reviewed by 182 customers My skin is so soft and smooth!
Steff from Oviedo, FL
I just tried this for the first time today and I was not disappointed!! I left it on for about 5-6 mins and then wiped it away with a wet washcloth and my face was so soft and smooth! I was glowing!! I didn't have any burning or anything, but everyone's skin is different so be sure to test it on a small area first. Definitely purchasing again, so much easier than waxing.
Abby from Greenville, SC
This cream removed the hair on my face but also removed the skin. This caused very painful burns everywhere it was applied and i had to use neosporin on my face for several days afterwards, my face has still not recovered. Save yourself the pain and dont buy this!
Have used this for years
Jay from Michigan
I use this product once a week on every Thursday. I put it on right before i take a shower. I have noticed that using it in the shower, is what truly the only way the product works. I've used it outside of the shower and for some reason not all the hair comes off but when i have it on in the shower it works.
I put an even and thick layer on my upper lip right before i hop in the shower. I then do all my other shower things such as shampoo, shave, condition, etc, and the last thing i do in the shower is remove the cream. I literally just put my face up to the water and it removes. Usually about a 10-15 min shower is perfect. Takes off all the hair and leaves it nice and soft. Sometimes if you leave it on too long it will burn a little, so if you take longer showers make sure to get it washed off in between the 10-15 min mark.
Barely removed any hair
Laura from Indianapolis
This barely removed any hair, won't be purchasing it again.
Worked great for me
Lisa from CO
Worked great for me and left my face silky smooth. Slight sting afterwards, probably like what men experience with after applying their after shave. Stinging last only 20-30 seconds for me and then my skin and calmed down. I like this product more than the face shavers out there.
Even burned male skin
Jac from Florida
I am a transgender woman and I only started hormones a few weeks ago, so I still have thick facial hair that needs to be shaved every day. I get pretty bad razor burn from shaving and thought that maybe this could help. Worst mistake ever. I put on the recommended amount and kept it on for about seven minutes because I assumed the thicker hair would take longer. I felt no burning while the lotion was on my face. It was when I went to take it off that things went South. I almost couldn't wipe it off, it hurt so bad. It took me about 2 extra minutes to take it all off slowly. After removal I looked up close and saw that my entire face where I had applied it was tomato red and especially on my lips there was what seemed to be enlarged pores that were bleeding. I absolutely freaked out because I thought I had a chemical burn of some sort. I Immediately washed my face with a mild cleanser and put on some moisturizer followed with a cool washcloth. It's been about 30 minutes and most of the redness has gone down, but my upper lip is still tomato red in my skin in general still slightly burns and is very tight feeling. I was expecting this to not affect my skin since I still have thick male skin in my face, BUT NOPE! 100% would not recommend to anyone.
Nair is always a hit or miss
Peaches from CO
By now, I'm pretty experienced with Nair products. I'm an Italian girl and I grew body hair much quicker as a kid than anyone else I knew, but my mom was pretty strict and didn't allow me to shave, so she gave me Nair as an alternative. For years I used Nair on my legs, and I got pretty used to the ups and downs it had. This Nair facial hair removal cream works just about the same.
So for starters, it says to use for 5 minutes, but you can increase that time if the hair doesn't seem to be giving way, up to no longer than 10 minutes. I don't have coarse hair on my face, (I used this only on my upper lip) but I knew for a fact that 5 minutes wouldn't cut it (it never does for me.) So I left it on for 7. The problem with Nair is sometimes you get away with perfect soft skin, and sometimes you have soft, but very red and irritated skin. It removes the hair, but the latter happened to me the first time I used this. I don't have sensitive skin but Nair will still irritate it anyway when it wants to. Thankfully, the raw looking redness went away in about an hour and you couldn't tell it was there to begin with. My tips for using Nair are that you DEFINITELY have to remove this cream with a wet wash cloth like the directions say. The hair won't come off unless it's gently wiped off by a cloth. If you have coarse hair, slathering on the cream a bit thicker should help, but don't leave it on for longer than the bottle says. And if you experience irritation, try splashing cold water on the area or doing a cool compress to soothe the skin a bit. Usually the rawness will go away in the same day, but there are some cases that it could stick around for longer, so just be careful.
TL;DR: This product works, but is rather finicky like all Nair products. Experiment to see what times work best for you to prevent burns, because it WILL burn if not careful.
Burns the face when used as directed
Francie from Tennessee
Left on my face per directions. Left chem burn around my mouth.
Thick hairs bye!
Rose from Dallas, TX
I have thick eyebrow hairs and it worked! It says leave it on for 5 mins but not over 10. I left it for 7-8 mins and it worked! I'm not saying it's like omg! The smell isn't as strong as their other products, I did felt a little burn but it's cause I have sensitive skin. But it did leave my skin looking smooth overall.
Jay from Dallas
It worked way better than i thought it would and leaves my face smoother longer than dermaplaining . The smell is what gave it a 4 star instead of 5
Sierra from Maryland
I loved this stuff I used it for the first time ever literally a week ago. I used it on my upper lip hair that isn't too thick as far as the individual strands of hair go but the patches themselves were thicker bc I'm getting older and from previous waxing. I've always had horrible reactions to waxing no matter what so I figured this probably wouldn't go well but it did! I cleaned the area first with a makeup wipe and padded dry then I applied this one side at a time, super thick like it says and waited almost 10 mins. I wiped off with pressure and a damp cloth and just left it alone. It kinda stung a little but nothing I couldn't bare. I can definitely see how this would be a bad choice for someone with super thick lip hair and sensitive skin though. I have sensitive skin to only certain things which is odd. Like I said it's been a week and it still looks great, I can feel a tiny stubble coming back but you cant see any hair regrowth yet. So so happy I finally tried this stuff.
Poor performance and chemical burns
MH from Bozeman
It barely removed any of the peach fuzz much less the couple of true whiskers I have. I was just disappointed but then I developed chemical burns after more than a day. It isn't from the sun. It was on my chin, under my mask.
Selah from MO
I was nervous to buy this because I have very sensitive skin, but it actually worked! I used it on my upper lip, chin, and all over my cheeks for my peach fuzz. All the hair is gone and my face feels so smooth! Makeup goes on a lot better now too. My skin, especially my face, is really sensitive and hard to find products that won't irritate it, but this product barely burned at all and it was only for the night that I put it on. For sure would recommend!
Beautylover from Michigan
I bought this because a friend recommended it to me and it worked great! I was very skeptical because it is so cheap, but followed the instructions and my peach fuzz was gone! The smell was fine, not great and not terrible. It did not burn like others have experienced and it did not leave my skin red at all. My skin was smooth right away! It's been a week and the peach fuzz has not grown back yet. Will definetly be buying this product along with the full body nair products
Not effective for thick hair
Dani from Chicago, IL
I have rather thick and dark hair on my upper lip. The product does not recommend any more than 10 minutes on the face. I do the full 10 minutes and I still have hair on my upper lip. It looks and feels like stubble because of the chemicals in the product. I end up having to pluck afterwards anyway... just not effective
Carito from Atlanta
Had the worst reaction to this and apparently it's not just a me thing because when I frantically started searching for what to do to get my face to calm down from the burn I found out it's a pretty common thing. I used it for the recommended amount of time and I followed every direction to the letter but I still ended up having to cover my face in petroleum jelly because my skin was literally hot chili pepper red. Once the reaction went away it took my skin a while to get back to its normal texture. It was horrible and such a bummer too bc I was so excited for this to work well for me :/
I LOVE THIS STUFF
Hannah from Commerce, GA
This product is amazing, I myself have a good bit of hair growth on my face (its blonde) but you can see it when I wear makeup. I find threading painful and microblading very expensive so I decided I would try this. I have used it about 5 times so far everything is great. Its a very inexpensive alternative to remove hair from sensitive areas. I use this on my whole face and leave it on for no more than 6-7 minutes each time. Then I thoroughly wipe my face, wash with my everyday face wash and apply a moisturizer. It also removes dead skin which is awesome Totally recommend this product
Marley from San Diego
Tried this product on upper lip. After the 5 minutes I wiped it off gently with toilet paper and it burned. I needed to wash it off so I used a mild cleanser in cool
Water and my lip burned even more and was completely red! I put on coconut oil.. which helped cool my lip off but it is still red. It definitely burnt my lip... and only after 5 minutes! Will return this product and never purchase again.
I get why others don't like it, but it's a staple for me.
Meg from PA
I totally understand why people don't like this. It hurts & if you have sensitive skin it's going to react. You have to know your skin well enough to know if it can handle it. I've been using this for 10+ years & I'll never stop. Makeup applies so much easier without the peach fuzz, I can shape my eyebrows & remove the baby hairs. I apply a very thick layer of moisturizer after using & I'll only do it at night bc my face gets very red. But by the next morning my skin is baby soft & perfect!
lll from mo

This cream is not affective for facial hair removal.
Shell from San Antonio
I was tired of having to pluck upper lip hair so I thought this face Nair would work perfect and be East and wouldn't be too harsh cause it has sweet almond oil and NO it was awful 1 min in and had to wash off only put a dab size on area and had burning and redness skin even got rough been a couple days and my skin barely going back to normal will never buy again and I've learned my lesson make sure to test an area first
Burns, But Good Hair Remover!
SJVip from Chicago
Do not have to go to salon! Removes most hair. Put Aloe and it burned bad. Getting better. Save money. Everyone has a purpose for it. Good good.
