I am 54 and I’ve noticed that foundation makes my face pasty and my wrinkles stand out more. Is there anyway suggestions on foundation?

E.l.f. and The Ordinary have great affordable and effective options and skincare quizzes on their sites to help you build a routine.
Beyond that, getting shade matched is what helped me find a foundation I love (IT Cosmetics CC+ Nude Glow Lightweight Foundation + Glow Serum SPF 40). I got a sample (from Sephora, all you have to do is ask! I think Ulta also offers this) to test for a few days and make sure the weight, consistency, and finish worked for me on the day-to-day and not just under store conditions.

Definitely try a different applicator and a way to blend it out I would also mabey try a different primer because different ones can make it less stickey and make your makeup look chalky

Use sunscreen that’s why people get so wrinkly

Make sure you have a good skincare base to prep your skin and ensure it’s hydrated! Then I would recommend a primer that will help smooth out fine lines and keep your foundation from settling. I personally love the Tatcha Featherweight liquid primer. For skincare, a good moisturizer is key- Elemis pro collagen marine cream is my all time favorite 😊

Doesn’t the type of foundation truly dictate which primer you should use? For example, if you are using a water based liquid foundation, then your primer should also be water based and vice a versa
