Comments about BaBylissPRO Nano Titanium Prima 3000 Styling Iron:

I have EXTREMELY THICK AND COARSE HAIR! I AM IN LOVE WITH THESE FLAT IRONS!! I have had my eyes on them for a few years now, but needless to say the steep price has kept me on a halt! But I do a lot of traveling and I was tired of having to travel with so many tools. I love the facts: Both the inside and outside plates heat up, to me the iron has just the right amount of weight, I have been able to successfully get very close to my roots for smoother straightening, the length of the plates is a God sin for us thick and long hair women. I also use the outside to smooth out roots as well since it does not get as hot, the smoothness and how sleek and shiny the iron makes your hair is AMAZING!! I have no cons! B/c me burning my temple was due to me getting too close and not being more attentive to how close I was to my skin! But this was at the end after I had 95% of my hair sleek and smooth! This iron is like using marcel irons with a marcel plate. Having skill and taking your time will prevent you from burning yourself, but any flatiron will cause you to burn yourself if you're not being cautious and patient with how close you are to your skin! So ladies you must be cautious and careful especially if using on high heat settings. But the irons itself are perfect for a salon style and finish. I actually only had to perform a one time pass on my hair, and the amount of time it takes to heat up cuts down on your styling time. I've only used it once thus far, b/c I just purchased the flat iron yesterday, but in humid weather my hair has remained smooth! I think the length of the plates and width are perfect for thick and long hair heads! I have been waiting a long time for someone TO FINALLY EXTEND THE LENGTH OF THR PLATE!! I just wish there was more heat setting selections, there should be a median between 410 F & 460 F ... but having the option to go higher than the normal 450 is totally AWESOME you are in climates that have a ton of humidity! BABYLISS KEEP THIS TOOL!

This was a good flat iron. If you're looking for one that is also a wand this is perfect. The outside gets extremely hot, while straightening I barely hit my ear and it blistered. I returned it because I don't need it for the wand purposes and didn't want to accidentally get burnt again.

I bought this and used it with no issues for 6 months. Then last week it FRIED my hair. My long hair is DONE and still, after washing, smells burnt. Then when I went to turn it back on to try it on a lower setting, it wouldn't heat up. I think the heating coil got overly hot the last time I did my hair, fried it, then burned itself out.

According to the instruction I am supposed to set it to 195 degrees. There is not a 195 degrees on the iron itself. I decide to use the middle setting since the 195 was the middle setting on the instructions. Low and behold it didn't even heat up. Hey Ulta, if you are going to charge $200 for a flat iron, make sure it works.

BaBylissPRO Nano Titanium Prima 3000 Styling Iron has a nonheated handle so users can use the unit without burning themselves on the handle. Additionally, there is a sticker on the outer housing indicating that the outer housing does get hot and to proceed with caution when using the outer housing when styling. Think of this unit just like a curling iron where the handle is cool and the barrel ( outer housing is hot). We PRIMA3000 also comes with the blue " Cool Touch" tips at the end so you can hold the iron at the blue tips without being burned by the heated surface of the Iron. Please visit PRIMA3000.com to watch our How-To Styling videos so you can use the PRIMA3000 with confidence.

The exterior plates on the BaBylissPRO Nano Titanium Prima 3000 Styling Iron can not be removed nor are controlled by a separate heating system that can be turned on or off. The exterior plates on the PRIMA3000 do heat up but they do not get as hot as the interior plates. Additionally, the blue rubber tips at the end of the plates on the outside remain cool so you can touch that section while using the iron.

No, the bottom of the iron where you hold the unit and where it says BaBylissPRO PRIMA3000 does not get hot. The section of the iron that is over the actual flat iron plates does get hot ( not as hot as the interior straightening plates). But, you can touch the cool tips ( blue rubber pieces at the end of the flat iron) that do not get hot when working around that section of the PRIMA3000 Iron.
