Most Helpful Positive Review First step in a double cleanse
I used to rub my face with makeup remover wipes— please don't do that to yourself— until I started noticing fine lines around my mouth and eyes. I started learning from a dermatologist that you really shouldn't use makeup wipes at all. So I decided to try this cleansing balm I saw Trixie Mattel use on her YouTube channel. Omg you guys this works so amazing! It doesn't bother my eyes at all and I am very sensitive. I wet my face with a water mister and then apply a small amount of the balm to my face with circular motions. I work to break up all the makeup and sunscreen I've worn for the day. Then I rinse my face and neck with warm water until it feels decently clean. Then I wash my face and neck again with CeraVe SA cleanser. Don't skip out on double cleansing or else you will definitely break out. This stuff wasn't meant to stay on your skin, it's only meant to breakup the makeup. After I'm done washing I put on CeraVe moisture cream from the tub. My skin has never looked better. I don't have makeup residue leftover with this routine. I will have to purchase the full size when this one runs out.
Most Helpful Critical Review Too uncomfortable to use... am I doing it wrong?
I have a roommate who loves this stuff and uses it every day for her mascara and winged liner, so I thought I'd buy a trial size and give it a go. I assumed based on all of the reviews that it would take my eye makeup RIGHT off, would not be uncomfortable for my eyes, and it would not take a lot of product per use. Well... none of those were true for me, which makes me seriously wonder if I'm somehow doing it wrong. I've used it about five times now to remove my eye makeup (which doesn't include waterproof products, just the regular stuff). Each time requires about a thumbnail's "chunk" of product for EACH eye. I know that the full size product is far larger and that is a relatively little amount for that size, but I guess I expected to need one chunk total rather than per eye. The application of it feels time consuming as well; it takes the better part of 60 seconds before I can tell that my lashes are free of mascara. My standard micellar-water-on-makeup-wipes doesn't take as long, especially since this balm has to be wiped or rinsed off as well. Finally, in every use of it so far, it get in my eyes. It seems like it's almost necessary for it to get in your eyes: I can tell that my lashes still have mascara on UNLESS I sliiiightly open my eye to massage the product in from underneath my lash line. (If I don't, it doesn't get fully removed.) The sensation of having this balm in my eye is too uncomfortable for me to ignore. It's true that it doesn't STING the eyes, but it definitely is noticeable and whenever I can tell it's in my eye I immediately want to wash it off. It makes me wonder how my roommate and beauty youtubers can tolerate using it with their eyes open. And even on days when I was determined to avoid getting it in my eyes, by keeping my eyes shut tight and ignoring the mascara at the roots of my lash line, it still would.
I've been wearing mascara and eye contacts for years and am used to having things in and near my eyes, but this just isn't for me.

This is the best product I have ever used when it comes to taking off my eye makeup. Its non greasy so it doesn't make my eyes feel wierd and filmy when I rinse it off.

It works well, but, I would prefer a different style container.
Best makeup remover

This is the absolute best makeup remover for my whole face I've ever used. I've always used eye makeup remover and just washed my face makeup off when I would wash my face, but never would fully get my face cleaned. I started searching for what the best type of makeup remover is best to getting everything off and oil base seemed to be everyone's favorite. When I found this I was so happy because it was not only an oil but a balm aswell. This stuff is a god send. Takes off all my makeup, makes my skin feel sooooo soft and silky, and it doesn't irritate my eyes ( which is always something I have to look out for). Best thing ever and lasts forever!

Took all my makeup off without me having to tug on my skin. Did not leave my skin oily! Did not need much product to remove my makeup

First time I used it on my face, I woke up the next day with red irritated skin. Will not be using again.
Would NOT buy again (swollen eyes)
Ivy from Las Vegas
Okay so 1. It does not remove all of your makeup, the recommended amount for use does not seem enough and 2. I know it isnt best to use oil on eyes or face bc it could clog your pores but i got this to stop using wipes which is rough on your skin and I want to try to keep my skin youthful for as long as possible. I dont wear makeup often but when I do I use this to remove it. THREE TIMES I got a stye and a swollen eye because of this product. Ive used it many times and been okay but once I realized the product was why that was occurring I stopped use immediately.

I decided to finally try this balm. I got the travel size because the price is very reasonable compared to the full size. I LOVE this stuff. I just gently massage it on my eyelids and face and then rinse it off with a washcloth, and it gets everything off. I used to have issues getting all the mascara and liner off the base of my eyelashes, but this quickly just melts it off competely. This is replacing dual phase eye makeup remover, micellar water, and cotton pads for me. I already bought a full size as well.

I was recommended it when the make up remover I wanted was out of stock and this was a great recommendation. It doesn't hurt my eyes when I take off my make up and I can control the amount put onto my face.

I continue to use towelettes for eye makeup removal. Clinique balm is amazing on oily skin. I have been using this product for 1 year, and no pore/acne/clogging issues. I recommend rubbing on your palms to dissolve product, first. Great product!
I would buy again!

This is the first time I use this product it is wonderful I put it on before I get in the shower comes right off with no residue takes off make up off completely absolutely gentle on face. Love it love it. I'm always skeptical on using new products but this was so good and I'm very happy with this purchase I hate when you buy something and it's not what you expected but this was a great buy.
Definitely buy again

Loved it soo much! It made my face smooth and it even takes super matte makeup really fast which I was impressed !
Nikki from Atlanta, GA
Not as good as Elemis. Definitely felt like I had to do a second wash. Did take my eye makeup off, but to be fair I wasn't wearing the same mascara I normally wear. My face doesn't feel as supple as it does after using the Elemis product.
No trace of make up

Micellar water doesn't remove my mascara easily but this product does and it doesn't sting my eyes. I use a little bit, rinse off with water and follow with a cleanser. It works really well.
Takes the day off for sure!

It did take my make up off a bit but didn't really do my eyes so good. The thing that bothered me most is that it had a weird smell.
Good but not my favorite.
Lea from Lis Angeles
The product works well however it's very pricey. I'd rather spend my money on nice make up then remover! Physicians Formula is equally good if not better for 1/3 the price!
Not my favorite

This was my first time using a cleaning blam.
I don't have anything to compare it too.
It did take off my makeup and it doesn't feel oily on my skin.
It did not take off my waterproof mascara maybe it's not supposed to? I don't know but that's one of the reason why I bought it
