Place brush at base of lashes and gently sweep up to tip. Removes easily with soap and water.

No working
The mascara doesn't work well for me. It weighs down my lashes, doesn't hold the curl, and the color isn't very pigmented — it takes several coats. Maybe if the brand made a waterproof version, I would buy it, but the washable one just doesn't work
I want to like this mascara but…
I want to like this mascara for the color. It looks great on people with dark hazel eyes. But after a few hours of wear it must be getting into my eyes because my vision gets incredibly cloudy. It gathers in the corner of my eyes and no matter how many times i try to clean the inner corners, they stay cloudy and crusty until i take it off. Even when i do remove it with makeup remover, i will wake up with red crusties all over my eyes in every corner! So gross. None of my other mascaras do this.

I used this product many years.
Nothing like the decades' old original formula
L'Oreal changed the formula. The new formula is horrible. It's difficult to remove, even with oil or makeup remover. (I lost several lashes despite liberally applying coconut oil.) Most importantly, it doesn't give the same lush volume on the lashes. It's a shame L'Oreal ruined one the best mascaras ever created. If you are trying this mascara for the first time, you aren't trying the original, real thing. Not sure why L'Oreal changed the formula but they have lost a loyal, 20+ year customer. I'm still searching for a replacement that comes close to Voluminous. Such an utter shame.
My favorite mascara
This mascara lengthens your natural lashes and gives them a slight curl at the end. The black is the darkest black mascara that I have ever seen. With that being said - it can be hard to remove sometimes and there is a residue under my eyes the next day.
