I received this product in exchange for an honest review. I was a little wary of this product because "oil control" can often mean "drying". This could not be further from the case. My skin was hydrated and the texture slightly "sticky" or tacky, which is perfect when you're following up with sunscreen or makeup. I didn't have an issue with pilling but I let it settle in for about five minutes before I put anything over it. I'd describe the scent as "fresh" but it fades as soon as it dries. I use vitamin C regularly in my morning skincare routine for its anti aging benefits and fading the hyperpigmentation that I'm very prone to have after blemishes. It is difficult to find the right one that is stable and effective as well as reasonably priced. This is an excellent product for the skincare enthusiast and the minimalist.

How I use it: • After cleansing, I dispense 3–4 drops into my palms. • I smooth it over my face and neck. • Once it's fully absorbed, I lock in hydration with a moisturizer, then finish with SPF for daytime protection. Tip: If you notice the serum turning pale yellow over time, don't worry—that's just the Vitamin C oxidizing on contact with air. It still works just as well. This product was complimentary.

I have used this product for about a week now and wanted to love it, but unfortunately it's not for me. After a few uses I noticed my skin felt softer and maybe even had a subtle glow, but it made my face oily and then I broke out. I do want to mention that it did layer nicely under my makeup. Scent is not offensive. Unfortunately, it just didn't agree with my skin. But I could see this being a great product for some who is looking for clean product with 12% pure vitamin C.
