Improvements w/ Hyperpigmentation

I got the 'Vanicream Vitamin C' because I had 'Tinea Versicolor' which is the cause of an overproduction of yeast in the face. I'm 19 and this usually affects children and teens. I got it treated but after it left 'hyperpigmentation' around my nose and at the corners of my lips which made me look li...

Caused a rash!

I'm going to keep writing my review of this to warn others and to make sure Ulta posts this - to those with sensitive skin- this is very irritating. And the kicker is that it didn't irritate my skin on day 1, 2 or 3 of using it. Around day 4, the skin on my face was rough, dry and bumpy. This is when I stopped using it- but the irritation continued even though I stopped using it and no other skin care or makeup was in any way different. On day 5, my neck and chest turned bright red, looking like a bad sun burn. On day 6 and 7, sensitive spots under my eyes turned blood red, blotchy and sore. The worst is that some of this migrated down my chest to the top of my bosom (to use a term that won't get flagged) and now I have a bumpy rash all across the top of both of them. This is day 8 and the irritation continues.

Gave me a rash and dry rough skin

I used this for 3 days without issue. On the 3rd day at night I noticed my skin felt rough, dry and had bumps all over. The next day, my neck and chest broke out in a terrible red rash. I stopped using it but the rash got worse and then I developed a red rash under my eyes. I wish I never bought this- I wanted a less expensive vitamin c versus Skinceuticals but this is terrible. I wouldn't recommend this and would advise a 5 day patch test because the issues appear after a few days. Really turned off by this brand now.

Finally, a non-irritating Vitamin C serum!

Hands down best vitamin c serum I've ever tried. I've tried $20-150+ serums that irritated my skin, finally decided to give this a try as they say they are formulated for sensitive skin. That is the truth! No irritation, no redness no dryness. Looks seamless under makeup. Will definitely be repurchasing.

Very Light Weight

I love that this is very light weight. I have not had any skin reactions to incorporating this in my skincare routine. I apply this with my nighttime skincare routine. I believe you could use this twice a day, but I try not to layer too many products under my makeup. I took a star off only because I feel like I am going to run out of this product pretty fast. There doesn't seem to be a lot of product in the tube. I would probably repurchase this simply because I do like the way this feels on my skin.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

the best vitamin C I've tried

I love this serum, and i do see a difference. It brightens my skin and helps with dark spot correction. My skin can't tolerate oily vitamin C serums, and this has a milky texture that's minimally tacky. It also has a mild pleasant scent. It was reviewed by a cosmetic chemist to be a good pick for vitamin C because of the specific derivative and the way the pump doesn't allow air into the container to oxidize the ingredient.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
