Not what I expected, but...
I'm a lifelong lover of gourmand and vanilla scents. Not necessarily fancy, sophisticated ones. The sweet kind that smell like ice cream, vanilla extract, cupcakes, etc. Around Christmas I ordered a custom sampler from Snif's website. Of the five scents I chose, Vanilla Vice is the one I assumed I'd like most, based on description, scent notes and reviews. Turns out I was wrong! (Pretty glad I didn't blind-buy the full size!) The first time I tried it I was both confused and disappointed. I didn't detect vanilla at all. It smelled exactly like the cheap body spray one of my coworkers uses. Throughout the day I kept smelling it thinking "nope." At the very end of the day, after I'd been wearing it for probably twelve hours, I sniffed my wrist. The scent was nearly gone, but it had FINALLY settled to a soft, sweet vanilla. That prompted me to experiment with it a few more times. I've gotten used to it, but I still don't love it. Anecdotally, FWIW, I've reached for all four of the other scents from my Snif sampler more often than Vanilla Vice. Coco Shimmy and Spray Tan are yummy, beachy, coconutty, summery scents. Heal the Way and Sweet Ash were impulse picks, both way outside my normal fragrance comfort zone. I was pleasantly surprised by each of them!
Wasn't sure, but get SO many compliments.
I wasnt 100% sure of this perfume, but im a vanilla girly so I gave it a try. I have NEVER gotten as many compliments wearing any other perfume before as i do with this one. From work to the 7brew drive thru, I get so many people asking what I am wearing. I am on my fourth bottle! And I will continue to buy as long as they have it! 😊
