I used the shampo and conditioner (step 1 and 2) then didn't realize I had purchased step 4 and not step 3. so I skipped step 3 and my hair felt like straw and looked like I had a ton of breakage. Is this because I skipped step 3?

Not the same formula
I purchased the bigger version to save more money although it was more money to invest, since I really liked the smaller sized hair mask. Unfortunately I have found this to not be as hydrating and it also leaves my hair feeling like I have residue left on everytime I have used this product! My hair doesn't feel deeply conditioned at all! I stopped using this product although I have half of the product left. It was not worth the upgraded size. Since then I have found a better hair mask for my hair and will continue to purchase that one instead.
