I apply this primer as instructed, not too much and wait a few minutes for it to sink in. While it does make my skin look smooth and flawless, as soon as I apply my foundation it starts to pill. Would it be better to use this primer with a non silicone foundation? Or do you have any other tips on preventing pilling?
- Asked by Eve
- Official Answer By Tarte - Brand EngageHi there! We suggest using very little product as a little bit goes a long way. Applying too much (or layering too much) can cause it to ball up. Work little by little massaging it into the skin before foundation application. We hope that helps! Was this answer helpful to you

I recently purchased this for the first time from the tarte website and it's pulled away from the edges when I opened the pot- so it doesn't look all nice and perfectly poured like the picture. It looks ok other than that, but does this mean it's defective and I should get a new one or is this a normal occurrence with this specific primer? Thanks

Oily Skin & Mature Skin Friendly
I have tried a number of primers that work well on my oily skin. This one isn't formulated specifically for oily skin, but hands down it's the best. Stays on all day. Works well on enlarged pores or any texture issues. Best of all it's maturity skin friendly. :-)

Blur what???
I have tried this product every which way but loose. I tried looking up videos on how to apply. Thought, maybe I was doing something wrong. Too much? Too little? Didn't wait long enough after application? Nothing works. Goes on beautiful drive to work, check the mirror? I look worse. I kept blaming ...

IM SO ANNOYED CUZ WHY IS IT HALF EMPTY
Only ACTUAL Pore-blurring primer
I have very dry very acne -prone skin, with kind of enlarged pores. This is the only pore blurring primer that has actually worked and the results are immediately visible. It is silicone based so I can only use it on the top of my cheeks and the sides of my nose every few days when I really need it or for special occasions. I use a hydrating primer all over my face first, let it dry, then pat-on this primer with my finger very gently where the pores are most noticeable on my cheeks and nose. You have to let it dry before applying your foundation. I don't recommend using this all over your face especially those with dry skin. Some days when I take my makeup off I do see that I've developed tiny pimples on the top of my cheeks where I applied the primer but I use miscellar water while gently rubbing in circular motions in those areas with my hands. I wash off and redo this a couple of times just to make sure the silicone has been removed, and follow up with an SA cleanser or gentle cleanser. In my opinion its totally worth it
