From using the forte series clay, I was able to get a high volume and hold that lasts all day which wouldn't be possible without it or with other products. It works fine. I am Asian with straight longish hair, and I wanted to give this product a try, since it was advertised as a product designed for 'Asian' hair. The good: it's not greasy, a lot goes a long way, and it's easy to use. It doesn't feel like I have much in my hair, which is sort of the point! Effortless styling product. The meh: it has a faint smell of product I used in high school 😬 sort of like Murray's pomade (only smell-wise). I'd like the product more if it was either odorless or had a subtle more pleasant smell. The 'puck' is also pretty tough to get into, so much that I have to use my finger nail to scrape into it. It's become the product I use in a pinch—it works well, I just don't love the smell, and there are other products I prefer.
