Why is turpentine used in the New formula??
- Asked by kmog
- Official Answer By Paul MitchellOur products are all reviewed by a safety assessor as we use safe and effective ingredients; the surfactants are appropriate for the intended performance of a given product; turpentine oil has always been in the Tea Tree fragrance at very low levels as it is a naturally occurring fragrance component that provides a fresh balsamic warm pine note and the colorants also used at very low levels give the product its appealing soft green appearance. Was this answer helpful to you

Works Well
ok, let me first say that I didn't want to like this stuff! HOWEVER,,,it does work nicely. I have had a dry flaky scalp for 20 years and this stuff cures it in one wash. I hated the smell in the bottle and in the shower,,,HOWEVER the smell changes once your hair dries and it does smell great duri...

Hair loss and scalp acne
It was validating (yet disturbing) to discover others experienced the same problem with this shampoo. I started with the Lavender Mint, because I loved it when my salon used it on me. My hair started falling out, but as I was changing thyroid meds at the time, I did not associate it with the shampoo...

I've lost so much hair!!!!
Hair Type Straight Hair
I've always had really thick, straight hair. I started using this and the conditioner to help with my greasiness and have excessive hair loss and thinning. I've only been using this for a month. I wash my hair every 2-3 days.
Wanted to love it
I love the smell and how it feels however it made my natural blonde hair look dark and greasy. I used this for a couple months thinking it was just winter and my hair was changing. 🤦🏼♀️ As soon as I switched back to my previous (and much cheaper) shampoo and conditioner my blonde hair came back and wasn't greasy anymore.
Product is amazing!
Hair Type Straight Hair
I love the way the shampoo makes my hair feel all tingly and wonderful. I will say I got the shampoo with the pump and it broke in shipping.
I buy for my mom, she lovesssssss this stuff
Hair Type Wavy Hair
This is the only shampoo my mom will use. It stops her itching and her hair is so shiny. I get her a big bottle for Christmas every year.
Bad smell of Conditioner
Hair Type Straight Hair
I bought this with the shampoo thinking they would both have the same smell and tingle sensation. Where the shampoo didn't disappoint, the conditioner certainly did. It smells more like rubber and is quite unpleasant. I will not purchase again.
