To get started:
- Fill the built-in water tank with filtered distilled water (using provided bottle) and adjust heat to preferred setting.
- Use the straightener in the direction of the arrows.
- Use on dry hair.
For straightening hair:
- For best results, section hair and glide SteamPod down slowly to straighten. The thinner the section, the more precise the result.
- Take each section and slowly move the straightener downwards from root to tip, making sure the arrows on the tool are pointing down to achieve optimal results.
For creating waves:
- Pre-comb and section hair.
- For natural waves, place a small section in the middle of the plates and wrap it around the tool.
- Then rotate the tool while slowly gliding downwards, making sure the arrows on the tool are pointing down to achieve optimal results.
- Let the waves cool off for a few minutes before either shaking or brushing them for a very natural-looking result.

Favorite Styling Tool of All Time
I have long, thick and semi course wavy hair. Normally it takes me about 45-60mins to fully straighten my hair after a blow dry. This straightend my hair to perfection with in 15mins flat. Not only that but the sleekness stays.

Not if you don't want to lose your hair
I just bought both this and the dyson on Black Friday. Love the Dyson, don't love the steampod. Don't get me wrong, it works, but I have thin hair and can't afford to lose as much as I lost the one time I tried this. My hair felt soft and looked healthy, but the amount of hair that was on my shirt, in the device itself and on the floor and sink was insane. I want to like this but I can't like something that snagged and yanked my hair out to that degree. Hard pass for me. I even tried removing the comb and using it and my hair was still getting snagged in the device. Yes, I was going in the direction that I was supposed to go following the arrows which was also a huge pain to make sure I was going in the right direction as I'm used to using it in whatever direction I need to. Keeping my Dyson and returning this.
