Dispense a small amount onto the back of your hand. One drop delivers full coverage with fingertip application.
Pat product with fingertips, starting at the center of the face and gently pressing the foundation onto skin.
Use a stippling motion to blend outward. Work in small sections, focusing on one area at a time.
After each use, wipe off excess product from nozzle and close cap tightly.

This finish was not right for me. It looked like it was sitting on top of my skin and highlighted the imperfections in my skin's texture once it dried down. I have combination skin with normal, oily, and dry places depending on the weather. I'm disappointed. I had high hopes for this one.

If NARS ever created a true masterpiece, it was the Soft Matte Complete Foundation. This formula has been my holy grail for years—the one foundation that never fails me, no matter the weather, the occasion, or how my skin is behaving. It gives that smooth, blurred, airbrushed finish without ever feeling heavy or cakey. It's matte, but not flat. Full coverage, but still skin. Long‑wearing, but comfortable. It's everything. That's why hearing it's being discontinued feels unreal. This isn't just another product—this is the foundation so many of us rely on for work, events, photos, and everyday confidence. There is nothing else on the market that performs like this, and trust me, I've tried to find replacements. NARS, I'm begging you: Please reconsider discontinuing Soft Matte Complete Foundation. You created something iconic. Something unmatched. Something people genuinely depend on. At the very least, bring it back, reformulate it, rename it—anything but removing it completely.
