I have medium/long, fine, thin hair with frizz and waves. I have been using this kind of styling tool ever since Revlon came out with the first one. I've gone from Revlon, Hot Tools, and now Drybar. This is the best hair tool for my life style
I hate putting extreme amounts of heat on my hair and I do use a heat protection with this and I have noticed absolutely no damage. I originally bought the flex style and preferred this over that because I often wait for my hair to air dry and then style it. This is perfect For that.

Touch ups while traveling
I bought this to touch up my blowouts while traveling and it does exactly that. I wouldn't recommend it as a main tool for achieving a blowout. I agree with others that it is loud.
