Not a Fan
I purchased this in December 2022. I am already searching for a replacement. The edges of both plates are already chipped / rusted which now pulls my hair. Also, the flat iron doesn't open very wide. Disappointed.
Pulls on my hair
I really wanted to like this straightener, but I don't. It is lightweight and heats up fast. The cord is a good length and the plates clamp together easily. I didn't do curls with it, but it seems like a good shape for that. The tips don't heat up, so you can grip there for easier styling. I couldn't tell that it was infused with coconut oil. The reason I don't like it is because it pulls on my hair. I naturally have straight, medium thick hair, but I have some damage at the front that's frizzy, so I use a flat iron to tame that frizz, shape my ends, and sometimes add volume. It really pulled at my damaged ends. I tried taking bigger sections, but it still pulled. I tried a higher heat, but that just further damaged my hair and left it frizzy. I use a heat protectant that's an oil and follow up straightening with another oil. The second oil also has heat protection, so I tried adding it before straightening, or adding it and straightening for a second time later. It didn't matter what I did, the straightener pulled and those ends looked frizzy no matter what I did. I pulled out my old straightener that's about to die (a 1.5" Remington I got for like $20 ten years ago) and the difference was big. It seems like it should be great, but it just doesn't work with my hair for some reason.

I used this on my curly think hair and it truly works! I love that it has the swivel so you can move it easily around. I feel like it really made my hair soft and straight in no time. It doesn't snag or pull on your hair. It heats up really fast as well. The best Pro about it is it turns off after an hour use in case you're in a hurry and forget to unplug it. I feel like without a heat protection it didn't fry my hair and makes it smooth. It does the job for me!
