For your ultimate tan, shake well before use. Hold 7-11 inches away from the body and spray evenly ensuring all areas are covered. Blend with the St. Tropez Applicator Mitt for a natural and even streak-free finish. Wait until touch dry before getting dressed. Depending on your desired shade wait 1, 2 or 3 hours before rinsing off the tinted bronzer (guide color). After showering, skin will have a light color but the self tan actives will continue to work for up to 8 hours deepening and developing into your chosen shade.
Precautions: Carry out a patch test 24 hours prior to use. Do not apply to broken, irritated or sensitive skin. Stop using if skin becomes irritated. Wash palms after use. Self Tan may stain. Do not get in eyes, if you do rinse well with water. Avoid contact with lips. Store below 300C/ 860F.Sun Safety Warning: This product does not contain sunscreen and does not protect against sunburn. Repeated exposure to unprotected skin while tanning may increase the risk of skin ageing , skin cancer and other harmful effects to the skin even if you do not burn.

- Official Answer By St. TropezWarm water should help clear the spray tip. Try to wrap a warm, dampened paper towel or cloth around it for a few minutes, then rinse through with warm to hot water. See instruction detail below: PREP: Exfoliate/hair removal 24 hours prior, then moisturize dry areas like elbows, hands, wrists, knees, feet & ankles immediately before application. APPLY: Pump onto Mitt and apply in long sweeping motions, overlapping layers & buffing into the skin to ensure no missed patches RINSE: After 1, 2 or 3 hours depending on your desired shade GLOW: Your desired depth of tan develop over 4-8 hours. Clogged tip and won't spray
This product is useless since I cannot get it to spray. The tip keeps clogging even after being rinsed with hot water as directed by St. Tropez. When it does spray it just spits for a second and then stops completely. I will be returning the can since it is unusable.
My Go-to Tanner
This is my second time purchasing this! I've tried everything from Isle of Paradise mist and drops, Jergens glow lotion, Tarte's self tan lotion, and this is by far the best one. It works fast and leaves a smooth, streak free tan that lasts a good amount of time if you keep up with moisturizer after. Only thing I don't like is that it has that spray tan smell and if you don't wait until it's completely dry, it may yellow your sheets.

I'm pale with cool undertones, I started looking into self tan bcuz my skin doesn't tan, don't get it wrong I don't burn either. 35, never had a sunburn & never worn sunscreen in my life. Like anyone else who is pale my biggest concern with using a sunless tan was looking orange, and streaks. I slept with this on and didn't wake up orange or streaky… but I also wasn't as dark as I wanted to be, I rinsed, reapplied, went on with my day and rinsed off about 10 hours later. I still wasn't orange and much to my surprise I had no streaks anywhere. The color I got was a warm golden tone, it was noticeable after the first night but now I was looking like I'd been on vacation, or I guess how I see others when they've come back from vacation haha so I must inform you there is a trick to using this. Prep your body a whole day in advance, deep exfoliating, and moisturizing when you get out of the shower. Gently wash the day you plan to apply tan (don't shave bcuz it will "stick" to your follicles and your legs will have a bunch of tiny dots, this is why you prep the day before) now after you dry off go ahead and apply your moisturizer but only on your ankles, toe knuckles, heels, knees, elbows, hands and wrists. Let it sink in, give it a good 20 minutes at least. Now shake up the mist DONT spray directly on your body, spray it on your mitt! It dries a little fast so hurry up and buff it into your skin. Go over your whole body. Thankfully this is tinted so you will see if you miss any areas. Don't freak out, I know the guide color is a little orange, but it rinses off. This is why I opted to sleep in it. The guide color did transfer to the inside of my clothes, it's important to only wear very lose fitting clothes while this is setting, or be naked. It did not stain my clothes or sheets though! As soon as I took them off I put them in the wash with some regular tide detergent and it came right out, no soaking or scrubbing!

This product is great! You absolutely need the mitt to buff, and I suggest just spraying product directly on the mitt or mist yourself standing in a shower you can rinse after. The first time I used it, I just misted myself and got it all over my bath mats, which are now stained. So I guess for that I'd give this 4.5/5 but that was my own fault honestly. It gives a nice natural glow and it's so nice to only have to have it on 3hr max. Other reviews said they only got 3 uses out of it, that's not my experience. I've used it 4 times and I'm estimating I've still got another 2 left in the bottle at least. I'm gonna try the mousse next time just out of curiosity but this is a great product!
My new go to for spray tanning
Having my own airbrush self tan sprayer, I tan myself almost weekly. Recently I didn't have enough time to set everything up so I ran up to Ulta to buy this in a rush. This is by far the easiest application of spray tan I've ever used. It is very comparable to the actual airbrush gun. I kept it on for 2 1/2 hours before lightly rinsing off and the color was perfect. It did continue to develop, and the color turned out perfectly. Based off the other reviews about it being messy, this is the case with all spray applications. I just stood in the shower and sprayed myself to keep contained and rinsed the shower when I was finished. The trick is to continuously keep moving your arm while spraying. Especially with legs, you want to start from the hip and spray continuously in long sweeping motions all the way down. To avoid over spraying, keep the nozzle further away from your skin until you get the hang of it.
