Tarte Sculpt Tape Contour

I think this product would work well for a different girly, I've had the same experience with the blush as I have this contour. It's too light coverage, it disappears from your base too easily. I use all of the Tarte eye shadows and blushes/ highlighters & absolutely LOVE. This brand does offer some great products, these just do not fit in that category for me. I urge others to try for themselves. I really wanted to love this item, but I wouldn't repurchase. I tried this item over top of my Rénergie Lift Makeup Lightweight Liquid Foundation SPF 27 by Lancome- & it blends away, is not easy to sculpt with as the lines blur too easy. I tried to set with a powder (not my typical move as I like a dewey light look) & it made the toppers patchy, or removed the underglow of the creams almost entirely. The only one out of these three products (blush, contour & highlight I have enjoyed is the highlight.)

I was lured by all the instagram ads and I'm glad I was. The color is perfect as is the finish. It's so easy to apply and blends flawlessly.

Product contours perfectly, it stays while blending nice and smooth.

I have extremely dry skin now & am switching 2 liquid everything. This went on so smoothly, blended wonderfully, & actually felt great on my skin. The Med contour shade was too orange, so I went 2 the light bronze & it gave a very natural, neutral contour. I am light/med skin Hispanic & it worked out. It layers great too.

I have a fair/light skintone, with neutral undertones and in turn struggle to find a contour that isnt too warm in color, but also isn't too dark. I received this contour in my Boxycharm subscription box and intially wasn't too excited by it, even after swatching it on my wrist, i still felt sort of meh about it. That changed however, when actually using it for the first time on my face. Typically the contour i use seems to almost disappear after I've used my setting powder, and blush, but if i try to use a darker shade it looks too unnatural and streaky. The shade i received is cool bronze, for light-medium skin tone. In all likelihood i prob wouldn't have selected this shade for myself as i had previously stated, i wasnt too impressed when swatching it on my wrist, however it is actually perfect. It blends seamlessly, and stays put even after applying blush & setting powder. I've never considered myself to fall into the medium skin tone side of makeup, nor has any makeup product seemed to place me there, that being said, that although I didn't initially love this product, after giving it a whirl which was done with great trepidation as had it not worked out I would've been forced to wash and start over, which would've really stunk i find there to be something truly great about this contour, but im unable to say exactly what it is that makes it so amazing!
