How to remove
- Asked by Cheryl
- Official Answer By Sally Hansen - BEHello! Thank you for your question! To remove Sally Hansen Salon Gel Polish, start by gently buffing the top shiny layer of the polish with a nail file to help the acetone penetrate more effectively. Next, soak cotton balls or pads in 100% pure acetone and place one on each nail. Wrap each fingertip with aluminum foil (or use pre-made nail wraps) to hold the cotton in place and let it sit for 10–15 minutes. After soaking, use an orangewood stick or cuticle pusher to gently push off the softened gel but don’t force it, and if needed, rewrap and soak a little longer. Once the gel is removed, lightly buff any remaining residue, wash your hands, and finish with cuticle oil or hand cream to moisturize your nails and skin. Avoid peeling or scraping the polish, as this can damage your natural nails. We hope this helps! For best results saturate a small piece of cotton the size of your nail with Sally Hansen Salon Gel Polish Remover, then place cotton over gel and wrap tightly with a small square of aluminum foil Check first finger after 15 minutes. - Q
How old should you be to use this?
- Asked by Gigi
- Official Answer By Sally Hansen - BEHello! Thank you for your interest in our Salon Gel Polish Starter Kit. We do not recommend you put nail polish on young children (who often put their fingers in their mouth) as it could chip off and be swallowed. If a child does swallow a small amount, this should not cause any problems. Safety is our top priority and all our products are thoroughly evaluated to be safe when used properly. We hope this helps! If you have any other questions, please reach out to our team. You can give us a call at 1-800-953-5080, and we'll be happy to help. Was this answer helpful to you

A worthwhile splurge!
I recently graduated from college & am working a summer cashier job. In school, I could easily paint my nails with regular polish & have them last weeks & weeks, because I rarely did anything more strenuous than open some books & write some notes. Working a job where I'm handling money & cash drawer...

Damaged My Nails
I loved the staying power of this gel polish manicure system. I type a lot at my job, and I do gardening, so I need a polish that lasts through all that. The Sally Hansen gel polish lasted a week, which was fine. But, the problem arose when I changed the polish. You have to soak your nails in aceton...

Doesn't last a day

I own a beauty spa and I find it terrible. It doesn't even last a day. Even with giving it extra time to dry I had to apply and remove it 4 times then I gave up. Total waste of money.

Last quite a long time I got about 2 weeks in before I noticed noticeable chips and I use my hands every day for work. Easy to appy and dries quite fast and it has a long lasting shine which I love.
Do not recommend
I really was hoping this product would work, but like many others have said, it doesnt fully cure. I did multiple rounds under the light and still had a tacky feeling. I would save your money.
Tbh not bad
I was reading the reviews, but I took a chance at it. The kit comes with everthing and was so easy. The most time consuming is prepping for clean nail beds. Its nice to do this at home and is a cheaper alternative. It does chip here and there maybe 2/10 nails in a week but this isnt the salon so… kinda expected and okay with it. I get a lot of compements aswell!!
