I have the old packaging (bought in ~March) & I can tell you why they updated it. The tube leaks at the seams! Hopefully the updated packaging doesn't do that but this is way to $$$ for a product I can't/don't even want to finish now.

Differin resurfacing scar gel has made a great difference in the appearance of blemishes on my skin. I have brown skin and my scars are generally dark. This gel has given me a clearer skin tone. I have had no negative reactions.
Doesn't work
I have used this for almost 2 months now. I should have checked the before and after picture more closely before buying. The model has the exact same stray hairs on the side of her face. Before and after what? Photoshop.

The texture of this gel is very nice. It is not greasy at all and absorbs easily without any lasting residue. Over an extended period of time, I did notice some slight lightening of a dark scar, but not a ton. Didn't expect a miracle though.
