Die hard SkinCeuticals fan for 10 years
I've been a diehard skin cueticals fan for at least 10 years. The products keep going up in price but I kept paying for them. I had seen this moisturizer around, on different blogs for a few years. It caught my eye because I suffer from rosacea which is under control with laser treatment and my skin...

Such a Disappointment
Unfortunately, this may be the worst cream I have ever used. To start, the cream has a very odd smell. It instantly reminded me of Play-doh, which is neither natural nor nice smelling. The cream is also odd because it is hard to rub into the skin and leaves white streaks like sunscreens tend to do. ...

def helped with redness but needs a super hydrating serum/moisturizer on top
Fail from Avene
Unfortunately, this cream is a fail for me from Avene. The formula is light, but it just feels like it sits on my skin without actually doing anything. It didn't help at all with my redness. For the price, there are definitely other creams out there that at least offer some hydration.
Truly the most soothing ever
My usual skin care regimen and prescription topicals didn't help when winter blew at my face and hands. I bought this because it tries to address the burning, cracking, and tightness of my cheeks, not just cover the redness and visible veins. I can't touch my face so much because of the pain due to the sensitivity. I like that I don't have to manipulate my skin further just to wipe it off. There's no green pigment on this one but I just used it for 2 days with the lotion, Cicalfate+ Restorative Cream, sunscreen and thermal water, and all the symptoms are barely there. That's the fastest I've ever been relieved! I'd take weeks to a month with other brands and layers of petroleum jelly to recover. This saved me skin care steps and my sanity.
Not my favorite

1 month of use. The cream is a good moisturizer but I didn't notice a visible improvement in the redness. Also it pills a bit. I will not buy it again
Friendly to Rosacea Skin
I have hyper-reactive rosacea skin that doesn't like a lot of the trendy ingredients (e.g., hyaluronic acid and niacinamide) that have made their way into every possible skin care and makeup product these days. My skin also needs a moisturizer that strikes a balance between too light (leaves my face feeling too dry/tight) and too heavy (causes my face to flush from trapped heat). I decided to try this moisturizer and have been really pleased with it. I'm on my second bottle now and, other than the price tag, I'm happy with the level of moisturizing it provides, the soothing qualities, and how it wears under sunscreen and makeup.
