Apply as close to the lashline as possible and line the entire length of the lid. To sharpen, remove the cap with built-in sharpener at the end of the pencil and use to sharpen tip, as needed.

Really does stay in place
I was looking for another product and a customer service representative was so helpful with my first request. We started discussing my eyeliner as it was "running" a bit. She recommended the Bobbi Brown eyeliner. I just tried it over the weekend and am very pleased with the results!
Broke off easlily

I love this eyeliner. Been using it for years. My only dissapointment is that it broke off easily. I never finished the whole pencil. Once it broke off I couldnt get it out anymore. My last one only last for 2 months and it broke off during my vacation and bought different brand. Very dissapointed with the quality. Need to improve please.

BB dropped the ball when they used a Thrive Cosmetics type cheap plastic removable sharpener that you need three hands to operate. Not once have I been able to sharpen it with this cheap piece of junk, it just breaks off and leaves a mess. Pretty expensive for a product you can only use 3 times til the original point wears down.
