I started using this because my hair stylist recommended it, however I noticed that the shampoo just sticks to my hair and makes it stuck. It won't wash off unless I use the conditioner but I can only use conditioner once a week. What should I do?

That is unusual. I would recommend calling Sebastian direct with these concerns. 800-935-5273.Was this answer helpful to you
Q
What should I use in brown and gray hair to keep it shiny. The gray is on the white side.
Asked by Consumer
Official Answer By Sebastian
Shampoo and conditioner can help with shine, but usually it is recommended to use a styling product to provide shine. One option would be the Dark OIl. Add extra body and smoothness to hair with Sebastian Professional Dark Oil Hair Styling Oil. This styling oil contains precious, natural oils: Cedarwood, Sandalwood and Argan. It smooths the cuticle, adds body and disappears into the hair. This Sebastian oil provides effortless styling and hair care from roots to tips. Was this answer helpful to you

Q
This shampoo has sulfate in it so how can it be so great for color treated hair? Sulfate pull the color out and dries your hair out. I am just confused? I got blond highlights in my hair and my hair is naturally dry hair and my stylist recommended this shampoo but I am very nervous about using it because of sulfate that's in it.
Asked by Fanak
Official Answer By Sebastian
That is a great question. We use only the highest quality sulfates and in minimal amounts – Sulfates are the ingredient that provides a good cleansing. As for color treated hair, we have the Pro-Color Shield technology to prolong hair color. Thank you for reaching out. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
I have been using Penetraitt shampoo and conditioner for over a year and found it has worked well for me. However, I have recently noticed some breakage to my hair and am wondering if the prolonged use of these products has given me too much protein and is causing this? Should I switch to Drench instead?
Asked by beachgirl
Official Answer By Sebastian
We would recommend our Penetraitt Masque once a week. Evenly put on damp hair, focusing on the most damaged areas. Leave in for two to three minutes; rinse thoroughly. This will help create Shiny, strong, stress-free hair. You shouldn’t need to change shampoo and conditioner. However if you feel you must switch, we would recommend Wella FusionPlex Shampoo and Conditioner. Was this answer helpful to you

Q
Which shampoo/conditioner has more moisturizer the "drench" or "penetraitte" ???
Asked by Kitty
Verified Reply - Staff ExpertBoth products address moisture issues, however, Sebastian Penetrate contains protein which will take care of weak tresses by strengthening the hair shaft with protein and moisture. If your hair is extremely thirsty and not lacking any strength issues, I would use Sebastian Drench, this product addresses thirsty hair with only moisturizing emollients. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
I have very long , dry, color treated hair and a dry scalp. My hair is about 85% gray and that has changed the texture somewhat and I also have thyroid disease that causes dry hair and scalp and also causes my hair to shed very badly when I wash & condition it! I try to keep it nourished and healthy by brushing it often and using argon oil on the ends and it helps so much. Which of the two shampoo/conditioner systems would you recommend for me? The "Drench" or the "Penetrait"? Any help would be so appreciated!
Asked by Mickie
Verified Reply - Staff ExpertWe suggest the Drench Shampoo, which is a shampoo that is specifically targeted to treat thirsty hair. Penetraitt is specifically formulated with protein and moisture, which is better for those with limp hair. The protein causes the hair to swell which can cause a bit too much for those who have overly thirsty hair. Was this answer helpful to you

Just like pureology BUT cheaper

Submitted 6 months ago

By Jennifer S

From Chelsea Alabama

I love this shampoo, conditioner and mask. They work just as well as pureology and they're cheaper. This line leaves your hair smelling great and its not overpowering at all. I have natural auburn colored hair that has a slight wave. I have a lot of hair but its thin. I use a blowdry brush and a flat iron 98% of the time and I started noticing some split ends from the heat usage so I did my research and found this line. Highly recommend if you use a decent amount of heat on your hair. They also have a mask and I use it once a week after a detox shampoo. I enjoy reading review's especially the ones complaining about a product that isn't meant for their hair type to begin with. I just wonder how they don't understand that. Some reviews make me concerned for people because if they can't even navigate what shampoo is best for their hair type, I can only imagine how messy the rest of their life must be. This line has so many good recommendations and reviews because it does exactly what it claims to do and at a price lower than competitors. I have also started using the bonding creme by Sebastian and it's drastically helped with the heat damage. It's $19.99 for 4.5 oz and the Olaplex is almost 35 and they work the exact same way. In fact I like the Sebastian better. I've used TONS of shampoos, conditioners, hair masks and styling products. From the expensive Oribe down to Dove and this shampoo/conditioner/mask is in my top two. It works great, smells great and won't break the bank!!

Bought this for my daughters hair, spent almost $200 on shampoo & conditioner (4 bottles). The shampoo was slightly open causing it to run out all over the bottle and box. Frustrating bc these products are not cheap.
