Orange Gelée 100th Anniversary Fragrance Collection Vacation Review Packaging/style: The bright orange color immediately caught my eye. When opening the box, it gave off a really cool, stylish vibe, like a cigar or cigarette case. I also like the color of the perfume lids. They are a pretty bronze ...color mixed with orange. It quickly reminded me of the beach and having a sun-kissed summer glow. Variety: For this review, I decided to rank the scents from the one I enjoyed the most to the one I liked the least. I know that everyone has their own preferences when it comes to fragrances. Gelee Tropiques: The moment I spritzed Gelée Tropiques on my skin, I was instantly whisked away to an island paradise. I imagine myself indulging in juicy mangoes on the beach. This fragrance isn't overly sweet or syrupy. This is exactly how I prefer my scents. I typically enjoy sweet fragrances when they have a warm or musky undertone to balance them, and this one nails that combination. It has all the fresh, tropical vibes that are perfect for warm days, but it carries a richer depth that makes it feel really well-rounded. Gelee Vanilla: The moment I applied the scent, I was enveloped in the embrace of a cozy bonfire on a tropical shore. Being a fan of sweet fragrances, I had high hopes for Gelée Vanilla, and it truly delivered! It's sweet and delectable, steering clear of that cloying artificial vanilla scent. I prefer sweet scents with a blend of warmth or musk, and this one quickly became a standout for me. It possesses a beautiful, sultry richness that feels warm and inviting while remaining light enough for sun-soaked days. Gelee Originale: The Gelée Originale from Vacation transports me straight to a sunny holiday escape. It's the quintessential fragrance for a warm-weather winter getaway, evoking cozy feelings of spiced tea and cloves while I soak up the sun. I love how it harmonizes nostalgic, festive warmth with bright, sunny cheer. If you're headed to a tropical destination during the holidays or winter months but still want to capture that snug holiday spirit, this fragrance perfectly embodies that feeling. It's distinctive, comforting, and essential for any winter retreat. Gelee Azure: Upon spritzing Gelée Azure, I was immediately whisked away to an elegant beach club. I will say maybe next to the Mediterranean coast, relaxing under an umbrella. This fragrance truly captures my heart. As someone who isn't particularly drawn to sweet scents, I often seek out fragrances that balance warmth and musk, and Gelée Azure nails that mix splendidly. It opens with an exquisite, airy freshness, transitioning beautifully into a warm, skin-musk richness as it dries down. It feels clean and breezy without veering into overly sharp or soapy territory, perfectly embodying that luxurious, sun-kissed skin allure without an ounce of sugary sweetness. Gelee Minérale: The moment I applied Gelée Minérale, I felt as though I was on a secluded, sunlit beach, inhaling the invigorating ocean air while lounging on a sun-warmed stretch of sand. This scent is refreshingly clean and invigorating. I must admit, however, that it didn't resonate with me as much as the others in the collection. Despite my usual preference for fragrances with warmth or musk, this one seemed to lean too heavily in the opposite direction. Its crispness is sharp, clean, and distinctly aquatic. For my taste, it missed the cozy, warm, and musky depth I long for to truly fall in love with a fragrance. If you have a strong affinity for soapy, fresh, and bracing sea scents, this one might be perfect for you, but it felt a touch too crisp for my liking. Longevity: I will say I noticed each one does have a different time limit on how long the scent lasts on my skin or clothing. For the Originale it lasts about five to six hours, I think it's because of the warm spice cloves. The one that lasted the most on me was Gelee vanilla. The vanilla and musk notes in the fragrance tube are stronger making it cling to my shirt and skin. The second one the last, and the longest is Gelee Tropiques. This surprised me, thinking the fruit one will make it go away quicker. I will say for me it lasted about five hours. The one that stayed on me the least was Gelee minerale. This is the second reason of all the scents in the box I didn't care for. I think the reason for this is because of being a more fresh clean, aquatic notes. The Gelee azure, on me was in the middle of Originale and Tropiques. The airy, coastal notes did soften after the first hour, but the sun-baked skin musk underneath keeps it alive.
