Purchased both the Cool Neutrals and New Mod during the 21 days of beauty event. As noted by some reviewers the mattes can be patchy and difficult to blend. They are highly pigmented. You need good brushes, time and patience. You are not going to be out the door in minutes with these palettes. The other issue is the colors wear different than they appear. For example, Thunder appears a beautiful blue, but has strong green undertones. A lot of the colors are just not flattering on me. In the cool palette superior and burst are mustard yellow. How is that "cool". Onyx is black-blue. I'm on the fence as to whether I want to keep them and running out of time due to the 30-day return policy.

I typically don't like "monochromatic" palettes, but the variety of undertones, textures (there are mattes, shimmers, and the perfect metallics), and the addition of shades that complement mauve perfectly (neutrals, plus shades that lean more towards the red in mauve, as well as ones that are more blue) keep this palette versatile without pushing the shades outside of the base color's bounds. I think this is a beautiful, well-curated palette that offers a surprising number of looks that I typically have a hard time creating with "monochromatic" palettes. Extra points for the packaging, as well!

As all the Sigma palettes I own, this NEW MOD doesn't disappoint. It has a beautiful range of pink tones from light to deep that can be used as blushes as well. There are many mid-tones and crease colors to choose from. The shimmers are subtle and add an extra dimension I would recommend starting very lightly, and adding additional color as needed, as these are highly pigmented. I found that many of the colors don't apply exactly as they appear in the palette, but are still flattering. This is another winner from Sigma.
