- Official Answer By MACIt is! MAC Mineralize Timecheck Lotion is a unique, gel-lotion texture that provides both immediate and long-term benefits. It can be applied directly onto clean skin or over top of moisturizer. Oily skin types will not need to use this with a moisturizer. If skin requires more moisture, apply MAC Mineralize Timecheck Lotion on top of moisturizer after it has completely dried down. It evens out the complexion, the texture looks smoother, and it blurs visible lines and wrinkles. It is infused with MAC Charged Water Technology which replenishes lost moisture and activates skin for better hydration and MAC Multi-Mineral Complex which helps nourish the skin. This product was recently recommended to me and I am wondering if it is best to use in place of a primer AND a moisturizer before applying my foundation, or if it is meant more to be used just as a primer over the top of my daily moisturizer? I am oily and don't want to cause breakouts. Thanks!!

I absolutely LOVE the timecheck lotion! I really like the fact that it's a hybrid between a moisturizer and a primer so if you want to, you can eliminate that extra step. This is one of my all-time favorite products from MAC and I used to work for the brand. I'm surprised it's not viral or more popular in the beauty community. I've noticed it truly make a visible difference in smoothing lines instantly on skin. If you spread a small amount over your forehead lines, it literally makes them appear nonexistent. This is a must have for anyone with fine lines or for makeup artists to apply to clients that have any kind of wrinkle or texture that needs to be blurred. I prefer it as a primer because it's not hydrating enough to be a moisturizer for my taste, but it really does blur your skin instantly with no pilling or scent.
Would never buy again!
This product did not satisfy me AT ALL! It does not feel hydrating, i feel like it almost enhanced my fine lines somehow. It smells like vinegar, which i do not prefer. The packaging is AWFULLLL!! The tube on the pump does not reach the bottom of the bottle, so you when you reach the end, you're wasting the product you cannot get to because the opening on the bottle is also to small to get any fingers in or to "bang" the product out.
