Q
Hi! Can I use this with the Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Hydrating Serum with Ceramides?
Asked by How to use?
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
Hey there! Yes! We'd recommend applying Mandelic Acid 10% + HA first, followed by Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5. We hope this helps! Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Will this product get rid of my closed comedones AND get rid of my acne scars and hyperpigmentation? If so, is it gentle, and how long would it take?
Asked by Betishu
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
Hi there! Mandelic Acid 10% + HA is one of our gentlest exfoliants. While regular, gentle exfoliation can support overall skin clarity, you may also wish to explore Salicylic Acid 2% Anhydrous Solution. For concerns like hyperpigmentation or post-acne marks, Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA or Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner may be helpful options. Please note that exfoliants like Mandelic, Salicylic, and Glycolic acids should be used in separate routines to avoid over-exfoliation.Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Can I use this with the ordinary's glycolic acid? And In what order would I use both items? Glycolic acid or mandelic acid first?
Asked by heyyyygirl
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
Hi there, as both of these are direct acids, we do not recommend using them together in the same regimen. Was this answer helpful to you

Real Talk

Let's be honest about skin care products. None of them are the miracle cure they claim. But not all products are just snake oil either. I have the fortunate of having a friend who has a chemistry degree and worked at several cosmetic companies, including some with very expensive products. She has to...

They are almost there...but are missing the mark

This product does absolutely sit on top of the skin and does not absorb. I feel that most of the product ends up on my pillowcase. I feel "oily" after using it, and it still has not absorbed into my skin by the time I actually roll over and fall asleep, which is about 2 hours after I put it on. I...

Oily texture, unsure about results

Submitted 10 months ago

By Dalice

I have been hearing lots of hype about mandelic acid and wanted to try it out. I am 36 with oily skin, occasional mild breakouts, and some fine lines. I was surprised by how greasy this product is, it is like a runny oil. I have only been using it a short time so I have not seen results yet. I will change to a different mandelic acid product eventually.

Relief of rough patches

I have used this product for years and i still love it. During any season its typical for me to get some dry spots on my face, whether is be from the sun, cold winter air or simply a manic day of picking pores. A good rub of this almost instantly removes my dead skin.

The BEST for hormonal adult acne

Submitted 1 year ago

By Guest

From Pittsburgh PA

I suffered for years from adult hormonal acne and could not find anything that worked. This product is a miracle and after years I finally have clear and clean looking skin! I use this product at night about 3-4 nights a week. As well as the Ordinary Niacinimide and Zinc product every morning. The texture of the Mandelic Acid is definitely oily and makes my skin feel oily for about 10 minutes until it is fully absorbed but then my face feels so clean. This product has really helped my skin turn from being ouly with terrible homronal acne bumps all over to tight and glowing skin. This product is a life saver!
