The Ordinary recommends performing a patch test prior to incorporating a new product into your skin care routine.
Apply once per day, ideally in the PM. Can be diluted with other treatments to reduce strength until skin develops tolerance. Avoid contact with eyes. If irritation persists, discontinue use and consult a physician. Use only as directed. Contact of the product with the skin must be of limited frequency or duration.

While regular, gentle exfoliation can support overall skin clarity, you may also wish to explore Salicylic Acid 2% Anhydrous Solution. For concerns like hyperpigmentation or post-acne marks, Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA or Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner may be helpful options. Please note that exfoliants like Mandelic, Salicylic, and Glycolic acids should be used in separate routines to avoid over-exfoliation.Was this answer helpful to you

This product does absolutely sit on top of the skin and does not absorb. I feel that most of the product ends up on my pillowcase. The BEST for hormonal adult acne
I suffered for years from adult hormonal acne and could not find anything that worked. This product is a miracle and after years I finally have clear and clean looking skin! I use this product at night about 3-4 nights a week. As well as the Ordinary Niacinimide and Zinc product every morning. The texture of the Mandelic Acid is definitely oily and makes my skin feel oily for about 10 minutes until it is fully absorbed but then my face feels so clean. This product has really helped my skin turn from being ouly with terrible homronal acne bumps all over to tight and glowing skin. This product is a life saver!

I randomly integrated this product into my routine, because I wanted something I could use my gua sha with - without really thinking about what this was for. I then noticed my skin was much clearer, I didn't have any serious breakouts, rushes or anything like this anymore. My skin is also glowy and firm. Even my boyfriend noticed it and the only thing I've changed is integrating this mandelic acid. I barely see big differences when using new products. But I really don't wanna miss this anymore!
