Comments about L'INTERDIT ROUGE ROLL ON
I ordered this small size of the L'interdit rouge to test out. I was looking to add to my L'interdit collection. Unfortunately, this particular fragrance in the line just did not land for me. Not a fan of the rouge. I do however LOVE the Parfum (black label) and just purchased my third bottle this year!

Love the option for this travel bottle vs a full size bottle. Thought this would be the best way to sample this fragrance since I could not locate a manufacturer sample. However, now that I have had a chance to sample it I am not at all a fan. One of my favorite Givenchy fragrances is the L'Interdit Parfum.
I really wanted to like it
Just by looking at the bottle, I was hoping this would be a dark, edgy, femme fatale type of fragrance. Luckily before I spent a dime, I got to try a mini sampler. At first I totally got Vicks medicinal cherry cough syrup from this one. I tried waiting & wore it overnight. it never improved much. at the end, I could see evil villainess vibes from this: it's something Cruella Deville would probably wear. So, I guess I'll keep the free sample till it runs out. but definitely not getting this in any size

Received a sample with another perfume purchase, and was pleasantly surprised by how much I like it. Upon the first spray, the smell is almost medicinal but also chocolatey in a way that catches you by surprise. However, once a few minutes pass and it settles on your skin, the richness and complexity becomes quite wonderful. The cocoa smell does linger a bit too long which isn't my favorite, but this scent is generally so interesting that it just works.
A discontinued fragrance twin!
About a decade ago, I wore Estee Lauder Modern Muse Rouge and loved it! They have since stopped making it, but I got a sample of L'Interdit Rouge and it is very similar. Just in case anyone is looking for their long lost fragrance, it has been found.
