Polyurethane and Corn
The ingredients list is missing polyurethane and corn. Don't want polyurethane on my eye area or anywhere on my skin. That is not a skin loving ingredient. Not sure what ophthalmologist approved this. Also I'm allergic to corn. Neither of these were listed even on the brand website. Back it goes and the hunt for non toxic and something that I'm not allergic to continues. (My fave was discontinued and their new version added allergens - argh!)

As far as the formula goes, it was a great formula. Went on smooth no clumps. made my lashes longer. But I laughed when I open the box and I pulled out black mascara. the color chart show a beautiful chocolate brown. Makers of mascara have no clue what it means to entitle a product brown. They are probably all dark haired people. I am a strawberry blonde with blonde lashes. The photo of the brown color is false.

This best brown was black. I even smudged it on my hand to see if maybe it was just a dark brown but it was black smudged looked like charcoal. It did also flake. I was disappointed cause I wanted a brown mascara for a softer look.

I have tried many brown mascaras and this is truly the very best there is! It goes on perfectly, separates each lash and is completely natural looking. If you use brown mascara don't waste your time trying anything else!!!

I was looking for a brown mascara to replace Tarte mascara, which is no longer available in-store where I live. I like this, have repurchased it and intend to purchase it again because it works with a variety of lash primers, is buildable enough for daily or party wear, and has stayed put better than Tarte (Tarte contains a lot of beeswax, so it can melt and smudge a little in hot weather). I have not been able to build this up to extreme lengths (long enough for lashes to bump eyebrows or take off and fly), but I am happy just with the excellent lash line and length that it provides. If it were available in dark burgundy, I would buy that, too.
