I wrote very similar review for the complementing conditioner since I was using them together. This is not a bad shampoo but as something meant for damaged hair I expected more. I don't think it was hydrating enough and I didn't notice any improvement in my hair. It smells nice and it didn't make my hair worse, in other words - another drugstore mediocre product. Personally, Pantene does better work for me. If you can spend a little bit more go for Redken Extreme.

I have thick hair that dries easily in the winter months, especially when I use styling tools. This shampoo had a great smell and did a wonderful job at keeping my hair smooth and full of life.
