This is Naw for me! Don't do it. It's a trap. I've used this stuff before and it was great. That was a few years back. Bought this on sale and thought "why not" WELL ILL TELL YOU WHY NOT! my hair was a rats nest. Birds could have made a home out of my hair when I was rinsing this stuff out of it. I tried brushing it while I was in the shower when I looked at my brush there were 5 bristle's missing. They joined the birds nest that took control of my long once was beautiful locks. Now I can read. It says leave in for one min. I left it in for maybe 30/45 seconds. I wouldn't even recommend 2 secs. It latched onto my hair like no tomorrow. I was hollering up a storm in that bathroom my husband was concerned. I have balayage hair color. It's not perfect condition nor is it severely damaged. It's jacked now. I got out the shower. Put some detangler in it and I spent more time brushing my hair at that moment then I did all year sleeping. I had to clean my brush out TWICE yall. TWICE! I was shedding so bad from the beating my hair took. Basically what I'm saying is… RUN and whatever you do. Do not look back.
New staple
I don't know how this conditioner has such bad reviews. I LOVE IT. My hair is a little unusual I guess. It's super fine but also super thick. I also have terrible water so I use Kendra Clarifying shampoo atleast 2-3x a week. Any kind of conditioner that actually does something normally weighs my hair down. Not this. I love the banana smell and it makes my hair super super soft and manageable without weighing it down. It's one of my go tos on my conditioner rotations.
Product is just okay
After reading a gazillion reviews that were not so great about Joico, I still purchased the Kpack daily shampoo, conditioner, and the reconstructing treatment. My mother had damage from a really bad perm many years ago and before Joico was really known, my mother used it and it was an absolute miracle healer for her hair. It was really good stuff. I ended up drying out my hair due to my flatiron being set too high. It was really damaged in a certain area with just frizz that I could not smooth out. I have thick, but very fine straight hair. The joico seemed to make my hair a little better, but a few days into using it, my scalp was irritated. I just do not think their products are the same. When I used the shampoo and conditioner and the heat protectant leave in by Joico, I still could not get my comb through my hair. I honestly think it made my hair worse. I decided to return the products and go to old faithful, Biolage. I use the hydrasource sham, conditioner, damage leave in spray and then last, the smoothing serum. HUGE difference and makes my hair super smooth, shiny and soft. If your hair is damaged, I highly recommend that line. Joico may work for you, if not you can always exchange or return. Hope this helps!
