The Isopropyl Alcohol comes to us as part of a conditioning ingredient. During manufacturing and the heated phase of the formulation process, there is little to none left in the formula to have any drying effect once manufactured. It can be used in addition to the shampoo and conditioner OR it can replace the conditioner depending on your hair needs. Since this is a treatment/masque, we recommend applying it only once a week and using the regular rinse out conditioner the remainder of the time. I've used this product for years (my mother used to buy this for me) and now as an adult i still use this for everything. Hair mask, a little for frizz control, for blow outs, for leave in conditioner after a full wash. My hair is healthy because of this product! A little goes a long way, and for someone like me who has long thick curly hair, that's not common. Even if you have straight hair this could work for you, use a little and mix with water and watch your hair transform!

I don't know what they put in this but my hair is loving it. My hair is softer than it has been in years. I'm on a hair journey and an under consumption journey. I'm going through a bunch of minis I've collected over the last 3 years and this one will be replacing any and all hair masks for future purchases. My hair has been dyed a lot. I don't use a lot of heat on my hair so I can't speak on heat damage but it was definitely feeling very dry from all the processing I've done. My hair is sooooo soft. I used this ONE time. Definitely purchasing the big guy.
