Yes, you can absolutely use this as a top coat with your favorite polish. However, it performs best when paired with another Insta-Dri shade for optimal results. We recommend waiting until each layer of polish is completely dry before applying your top coat. You may also want to try our Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Top Coat in the red bottle. Caution with application
Pros: 1) Full coverage with one coat. 2) Fast drying. 3) The color is pretty much true to what you see on the computer. Cons: 1) Stains the cuticle/skin immediately so be VERY careful with application to not get the polish on the any part of your skin/fingertip. OR keep nail polish remover handy. I ...

Color Misrepresented on site
The color I bought is a translucent blue. It didn't look at all like the color I wanted.
Basically sheer
I spent a good amount of time in the aisle selecting my shade only to find that it comes out clear with a hint of glitter. Even with two coats it's no where as dark as is shown in the picture. There isn't even a hint of color. There is a smell as advertised but it's just as strong as the nail polish smell. Overall I could have gone with any sheer for what I have. If you are looking for a light color I would recommend this one.

The scent was disgusting
I bought one of the syrup polishes when it was on sale. This is the only time I've ever had to immediately remove nail polish after finishing my nails because even after drying the sickening artificially sweet smell wouldn't go away. Not even after washing my hands multiple times. I can still smell it after removing the polish. I dont recommend this at all.

I bought the color illusion because pics of it over nail polish showed it being sort of chameleon like. it's not. it's basically clear with purple glitter
