Actually Pretty Impressed With This

I have sensitive, fairly oily skin that's prone to break-outs, so I've never had too much luck in finding a moisturizer that didn't cause my (large) pores to get clogged. I wanted to try out some different things to see if there was a decent match for me somewhere out there, so I decided to give thi...s product a shot - and I'm really glad that I did. It isn't heavy, the formula is easy to work into the skin, and it does its job. Hot DANG, does it do its job! There is a scent like baby wipes that's... not exactly overpowering, but also not as subtle as I would have liked. Semi-strong, is what I would call it. Thankfully, it did not leave my face smelling like chemicals, so I can easily forgive the odd scent. As far as packaging goes, there have been a lot of complaints about the pump not working properly due to the dismally short straw inside the tube. I ran into the same problem - but I was able to solve it (thus far) by giving the tube a good strong downward shake before using the pump. I have to keep the nozzle facing down and give the tube itself a slight squeeze to help coax out the product, but my meathod works pretty well and I'm able to get a good bit of moisturizer out onto my fingers. A needlessly complicated process, but a manageable one. Now it's time for a story: I actually lost a dear, dear friend of mine right before Thanksgiving, which resulted in several days' worth of heavy crying. This, combined with the dry winter air left me with a painfully chapped face with peeling dry skin and scaly eyelids. The ultimate test for a moisturizer. I used this product twice a day for about three days in a row, and my chapped, grief-and-winter-wind skin cleared right up. It did sting upon the first use, but never afterwards, so I'm attributing that to just how raw my face was at the time. Upon prolonged use, there have been no breakouts, no clogged pores, no irritation due to the product itself, and there is a noticeable improvement in my skin as a whole. All in all, I would say this was a huge win. Other than the scent, the only thing about the moisturizer that I don't care much for, (though am not truly bothered by,) was the way it didn't completely absorb into my skin. It absorbed about 90% of the way, but then left a slight oily feeling on my face. Again, I have naturally oily skin, so someone with dryer skin might have a different result. I patted and rubbed it in as best I could, but even after an hour or so, the thin layer of grease was still there. Every now and then I would give it another gentle swipe just to help it sink into my pores, and that DID help a bit. I ended up washing my face just before bed anyway, and that took care of the lingering film. Final verdict: this is an amazing moisturizer that does have a few flaws, but more than makes up for them in terms of how well it works. If you have oily skin, be prepared to dab off the excess lest it leave you with a bit of grease, but there shouldn't be a risk of break-outs due to how lightweight the product itself actually is. Once you get past the weird packaging and the scent of baby wipes, this is definitely a great moisturizer - and one that I will likely repurchase.
