I'm very surprised by this gel. It works well when I'm doing a slick back ponytail and it allows for curls not frizz up. It has a little crunch. The texture of the gel is not slimy. I like that the gel is in a pump bottle. It pairs well with some products but it can leave a residue.

I used this product to set braids/braid outs and two strand twists. It worked really well and wasn't crunchy at all. I didn't experience any flakiness while using this and I put it in my hair after using a leave in conditioner. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I didn't notice anything with shine. My hair was very soft after using! I did receive this product from influencer in exchange for a review, but all opinions are my own.

This did nothing for my high porosity 4a/4b hair. It has such little hold and was very drying. I used a lot of it as well, and it was still frizzy. I may try as a topper for moose but I'm afraid my hair would feel so dry. I'll just use to slick down flyaways.

Using this to define or hold my curls I can't say that I thought this product was any better than other similar products that I use. This could also be because I was very cautious about how much product I added to my hair (I didn't want to weigh my curls down). It did add some definition and a light hold, and it could have performed better had I used more product. When I first tried it, I used it incorrectly as a regular gel to slick my hair back into a bun 😅 In that case, I was very impressed (although using too much can cause product buildup).

I love that it isn't a super thick gel but it holds my hair so well! I love slicking my hair back and laying my edges with this gel! It makes my hair super shiny and soft as well not crunchy!
