Q
Does it help pimples
Asked by Lizz
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
Hi there, Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner helps smooth skin texture, even tone, and enhances luminosity! For pimples you may wish to explore our Salicylic Acid range. We have our Salicylic Acid 2% Anhydrous Solution, Salicylic Acid 2% Solution, and Salicylic Acid 2% Masque. We hope this helps! Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Can this also be used on other areas other than the face/neck to even the skin tone out? Areas like armpits, under/middle breast area, inner thigh area?
Asked by Lee Marie
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
Hi there! Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner has been tested for use on the face, neck, and scalp. It can also exfoliate areas of the body experiencing rough and bumpy skin. However, we do not recommend applying this product to covered areas of the body such as the inner thighs or underarms, as these areas may have more sensitive skin, and the natural occlusion of these regions may make them more prone to irritation. We hope this helps! Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Can this be used in conjunction with a retinal product (with an 'a', not retinol)?
Asked by Erika
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
Hello! We do not recommend using direct acids and retinoids in the same regimen. However, you can alternate them. (ie. Glycolic one night, Retinal another etc). We hope this helps! Was this answer helpful to you
Q
What is the minimum age recommended to use this product?
Asked by Lyla
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
The Ordinary's products are intended for adult skin. Though we have no reason to think that DECIEM’s products would be harmful for young people, less mature/younger skin is often more sensitive and frequently changing. For young people we recommend a simple routine of cleansing and hydrating as we do not want to interfere with skin development. For persistent skin issues or specific concerns, we suggest consulting with your doctor/dermatologist about safe and suitable treatments. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
i want to love this product but it leaves a sticky residue on my face/neck every use and i cant stand it, does the sticky feeling fade over time??? is there anything i can do after applying that can help me continue using the product???
Asked by kc
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
Hi there! You may wish to apply less of the product to see if this helps. There should be no sticky feeling after use, however, everyone's skin is different! If you'd like to explore alternate exfoliators you may wish to check out our Mandelic Acid 10% + HA , or Lactic Acid 5% + HA .Was this answer helpful to you

Chemical Scalp Exfoliant - Helps Manage Dandruff & Oils

I use this product for "other than the intended purpose". Skin care is important to me, but I struggle with psoriasis/dermatitis which sometimes results in dandruff and a rough patch behind one ear. In the past I have tried glycolic acid for my face and it was terrible. More than just a purging, it...

Not a bad product, my skin just didn't care for it

Product came with 2 options to apply them with: a squirtle or a regular top lid thingy. I chose the squirtle and I'd spritz it on a bottom pad and swept across my face. It would sting me. I thought my skin was just not used to it. This was one of the first products I purchased when I got into skinca...

I will say after using this for a few months this is probably the best product I've ever purchased from my skin. I barely have any pimples pop up. My skin is always soft and smooth and hydrated . I will say if you do wash your face aggressively and then use this toner it may sting a little, even though it says alcohol free. But besides that believe the hype

Helped me clear a breakout that would not budge off my face. I have sensitive skin so I use it sprayed onto a cotton pad every other day. I also use it to exfoliate my legs and it has been helping to prevent ingrown hairs after epilating!

Chemical Burn

From tennessee

Ive used this prodicy before and I felt like it didn't work, so I tried it again. It gave me a terrible chemcila burn in 3 places on my face that are still healing from a month and half ago. The places that are healed have no pigment. I have background in skincare and esthetics This product definitely too strong for any kind of sensitive skin. Not all patch tests will show up with negative results. I did a patch test and nothing bad happened.
