I made the mistake of buying two of these. The colors are nice and suited my skin tone well, but they are thick and waxy on the lips. Cheap is the word that comes to mind immediately. From far away, these looked fine, but looked patchy at close range. After about two hours these started to clump...

Age 45-59
I thought for certain Pulse would be a winner. The color looked gorgeous online and in others' pics, so when it arrived, I excitedly tore into it. Unfortunately, it is somehow My Lips But Worse. It appeared to be a beautiful pink-plum-nude in images but at least on me, it basically erased all color. Truly. My lips seemed to lose pinkness and have only this tan-grey look that is not at all what I was expecting or hoping for. On the plus side, these gel versions are super comfortable, so if the color is better on you, rock it! The staying power is quite poor, at least on me, but that's to be expected of a lip product that's on the sheer and light side. As with their other products, this comes in such a wasteful package. I really wish Nudestix would offer the option to purchase without the metal case or would switch to something biodegradable. I suppose some folks may like carrying the pencil and sharpener around in a case but it's bulky and, to me, unnecessary. I try to repurpose them by storing paperclips and thumbtacks and such in them, but a girl only needs so many little tins in her desk (and frankly, I didn't need any of these).
I really wanted to like these but......
Age 60+
I bought 2 of these when the were 50% off. The colors online looked great. When received they were far darker. These seemed to get darker the longer they were on my lips. The color migrated from inside of lips to outside. They are going back.
Love but hate sharpening
This is the only lip product ( chapstick, lip gloss, lipstick… all of them!) that doesn't make my throat tickle when I use it on in my lips: I have the pulse color. I tried a brighter red color and it just does not go well on my lips but the pulse one seems thicker and I like it more. I do hate that I have to sharpen it so often though. And I hate that it seems to waste so much product when I sharpen it. Other than that though I am really happy to have at least one product that I know will stay on nice as it dries and doesn't make my lips look horrid, and doesn't make my throat feel tingly and weird. I wish I could figure out what ingredient is doing that with other lip products. It's like when any other lip product mixes with any food on my lips it interacts and my throat freaks out. The first time I use the product it doesn't do that though. Anyways, if you experience the same thing then try this pulse and see if it works for you like it does for me.
Feels dry on lips patchy on cheeks
I don't know why this is so highly rated. Other Nudestix shadows I got were amazing quality so I had really high hopes for their lip products. I got the shade Pulse, it didn't show up at all, guess it matched my lip color too closely. But this did not feel good on my lips at all. It felt dry and tight, made lines in my lips way more prominent when it wasn't an issue for me before. I rarely return items, most of the time I can't be bothered but I brought this back. It really was awful. It didn't feel nice going on. It tugged lips on application. There are so many other lip products that feel and look so much nicer than these, skip this.

Beautiful color that can easily be layered for a denser pop of color. The gel formula, happily gluten free, offers a sheer sweep of color. I love putting Wicked in the middle of the lips, on top of another color, to create an ombre effect. Wicked can also be worn solo, as a full lip, and be a compliment to a natural look or a more daring, bold look.
